Chocolate Gravy II

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2014
Scrumptious!!! It took several minutes before it began to thicken...made me nervous but about 5 min after I added the milk it thickened up nicely and tasted so good!! It takes a lot like chocolate pie filling! Two recipes in one perhaps!! :)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
These were amazing! Made them by recipe exactly except nuts. Made a double batch--did one batch for the recommended time and one about 5 min longer and both tasted the same. The ones I baked longer were a little larger and more crisp around edges but both were equally as good.

Hurricane Cake

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
Amazing Recipe! Very easy, very moist and a fun dessert to make as well. After I made it I was concerned that it didn't come out right b/c it didn't look all that pretty and I didn't have coconut so I had to use mini chocolate chips. It was wonderful...I'm sure it's even better with the right ingredients, but next time I think I'll buy coconut but use the chocolate chips too.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
The pie itself was very good. I used a store bought crust and believe it would have been much better had I made the crust. Thanks for the recipe!!

Fluffy Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
Wow, this has changed our breakfasts forever. I not only love the flavor, but also loved the instructions...they made me realize I had been overcooking my eggs in the past. I didn't have evap. milk so I used half & half based on some other reviews and they turned out very good. I have since tried them with evap milk as well, but I actually like the half & half quite a bit better and it's something I always have on hand, so it makes things simpler.

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This turned out okay, but it's just not what I had in mind. I added nutmeg after reading other reviews and thought it added a nice touch and the presentation was pretty. I'll keep looking for my perfect mac n cheese, but if you like baked mac n cheese you may really like this recipe.

Honey Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
Very easy and very tasty!! I lowered the serving size to 2. We used it for two meals...feeding three adults each meal (one for buttering biscuits/one for buttering pancakes) and we still have about half left...so this makes more than you think! Thanks for the recipe!!!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
Just finished making these and WOW, they really are amazing...I wanted to find a recipe that used what I already had at home and so the amount of oats I had on hand was only 2 1/2 cups, but they still turned out great. Also, I read a tip awhile back that said you can sub old fashioned oats for quick cooking anytime, just keep in mind the product will be a little more chewy...so I used old fashioned and they turned out great. I thought I'd pass that tip along to other novice cooks like myself.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
Wow...I'm impressed. I made these on a whim for a birthday gathering tomorrow nite. I just knew they would be too peanut buttery, but they're truly decedant and you can taste the heavy cream in them. Very good. I went by the recipe except for using DARK BROWN SUGAR only b/c that's all I had. They turned out great though! I eyeballed it and came out with 26 cookes making 13 sandwiches and they're the a regualar choc chip cookie size.

It's the best fruit dip I've ever had!!! I made it a little lower in carbs by using sugar free fat free vanilla pudding and Cool Whip Free. It was great and I'll make it for years to come!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
Absolutely love it...we finally found the chili for our family...we'll make it for years to come. The only thing we did differently was omit onions b/c we don't like them. It tastes great and makes a good, thick chili...perfect for Frito Chili Pies, Chili Dogs and most importantly, a good bowl of chili!

Puppy Chow I

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
This was good but I think I overdid it on the powdered sugar b/c it had a funny aftertaste. I do love sugar though so I'm sure I added more than I thought I did. Also, a tip for those who have never made this kind of a thing...it is really messy, so be prepared...don't be like me and get powdered sugar everywhere b/c you're trying to mix it up in a bag that's way too small!

Very good and super easy to make...I mean you really can't go wrong with this and I'm a beginner who likes no fail recipes! I baked mine b/c I wanted to serve them warm and really bake in that seasoning. They had a little kick which kept people coming back to the bowl too!

Peanut Butter Chicken Skewers

This was really good and it was so pretty to serve too! I went by the recipe exactly even down to the cabbage, but next time I may try just baking it in the oven. Either way, I'll be making this for a long time to come.
