About this Cook
I grew up in a family of amazing cooks and thought I would just automatically be as great as they were...HA! I've learned lots of new skills over the years and is my go-to source for yummy recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Holiday's the perfect time to create a masterpiece...desserts are my faves but I love side dishes too. We don't have children yet so it's the best time of year to try things out on lots of people at one time!
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Christmastime mom would make cut-out sugar cookies and us kids would decorate them with M&Ms. My dad is as great of a cook as my mom and they each have their specialties so every meal back home with them is spectacular!
My cooking triumphs
I'm still a work in progress, but I guess my triumph would be learning to overcome the fear of cooking. I had always believed I was too dingy to cook. I would get nervous and work myself into a tizzy just trying to prepare a meal. Times are changing!
My cooking tragedies
There have been many, but the thing they all have in common is that I was too nervous when preparing them. I've learned to try to settle down and enjoy the process of cooking since then.

Chocolate Gravy II
Scrumptious!!! It took several minutes before it began to thicken...made me nervous but about 5 min after I added the milk it thickened up nicely and tasted so good!! It takes a lot like chocolate pie filling! Two recipes in one perhaps!! :)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
These were amazing! Made them by recipe exactly except nuts. Made a double batch--did one batch for the recommended time and one about 5 min longer and both tasted the same. The ones I baked longer were a little larger and more crisp around edges but both were equally as good.
