I am 36 years old and married with 3 dogs. I am currently residing in Alaska. I am a labor and delivery nurse and I enjoy cooking and baking for relaxation. I love to entertain and when I am not fishing you can generally find me in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I love Italian food and spaghetti is my favorite comfort food. I love to experiment and try new recipes. As a nurse I work long hours and have become quite dependent on my slow cooker. I also cook in a dutch oven during the summer. I am enjoying learning to make great tasting food outside.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up cooking together with my siblings and helping make dinner. At the holidays we baked cookies and candies for gifts. I enjoy cooking with others and sharing that time with friends and loved ones.

Italian Chicken with Garlic and Lemon
This is fabulous!! Like having dinner out at a nice restaurant at home. This was a hit when made for my husband and mother. I did not change a thing except to cut back on the oil for frying. Definitely a keeper!

Cranberry Sauce Chicken II
This was a simple and very tasty meal. Threw frozen boneless skinless thighs in the crockpot with sauce on top and a few hours later dinner was served. Made some rice and the gravy made from the sauce is soooo good...Thanks for this recipe

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn
I made this caramel corn for the first time a few weeks ago and it was FABULOUS!! It disappeared quickly and was so easy to make. I followed the recipe as written except that I substituted butter for the margarine. I used my large turkey roasting pan and cooked it for the whole hour. YUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMM
