About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking for other people. I get requests from my family/friends and then experiment with recipes until they're to my liking.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that looks good, and tastes even better. Just tried a great flan recipe from this site, and I'm looking to try the "chocoflan" (chocolate cake with a flan layer on top....most delicious thing I've ever had), so if that works, I'll be adding it as my ultimate cooking triumph. :)
My cooking tragedies
The only thing I would consider a tragedy was a cheesecake recipe I tried three years back using ricotta cheese. It may have turned out like it was supposed to, but it was the worst thing I had ever made. Everyone spit it out after taking the first bite, and to this day, I still get made fun of for that by my family.

Italian Sausage Soup
A delicious, tasty soup. The only thing I omitted was the spinach (didn't have any on hand), but otherwise followed the recipe to a tee, and it was great. Our winters don't last very long here, but this is a recipe I may consider making year round. :) Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Very good!! Made cake without changing anything and it was moist and dee-licious. Played around with it later and added chopped strawberries (along with the blueberries) and a tsp. of almond extract to batter and was even better! Also made a quick glaze to make it look prettier and everyone enjoyed it. A good, versatile recipe!
