I had never made a cheesecake in my life until I tried this recipe for a New Years Day dessert. I followed the recipe exactly as written and it came out PERFECTLY - like the large, dense and creamy cheesecakes you'd get from a deli or bakery. I urge anyone considering this recipe to go ahead and make it, following the directions as written and keeping the oven door closed during those critical post-baking hours.. You will be glad you did.
