About this Cook
I'm 25 going to be 26 in 2005. My father is Malaysian and my mom is from Thailand. I was borned in Kuala Lumpur May 1st 1979. I love baking so much, I started baking earlier when I was 15yrs old. I got married 2yrs ago to my first love and since then I learned to cook more and more stuffs everytime I had the chance to. I hope to share my experience with others and I hope someday, me and my husband will have the opportunity to visit other countries besides Thailand.
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Fudge topping is one of my specialties. I also like to bake cookies but most of the time I would prefer to cook chicken cheese.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have quite a lot of cooking traditions based on our 'Hari Raya' festivals which we celebrate twice a year. The very special ones is called 'Rendang'. It can be of chicken or beef. The ingredients are quite complicated as it uses a lot of spices and also coconut milk but the taste is simply delicious. It'll be in my recipe list for sure.
My cooking triumphs
I baked my special Choc. Cake with Choc. Fudge topping on my engagement day and I served it to over 50 people. They liked it so much, some even asked for the recipe. My father sometimes requested me to bake his special butter cake whenever he missed it.
My cooking tragedies
I was baking my special Choc cake, I didn't realised that the batter was too much for the pan I used. When I opened the oven, I saw the batter everywhere.. inside the pan and a lot more outside of it.

Mom's Quick Pasta Sauce
Didnt have the dry onion soup mix but it was still tasty. Added button mushroom and lots of diced yellow onion. Had it with vermicelli pasta. Yummmy! View pic.

Old Fashioned Brown Gravy
I omitted the milk and I used the juice from the chicken instead. Added some oregano, basil and parsley just to get abit of italian taste. My husband really liked it. Went well with mash potatoes and BBQ Chicken. View pic.

Easy BBQ Bake
OMG! It was the first time I tried roasting a chicken and I chose this recipe. Really glad I chosed this, it was a hit, gone in less than ½hr. I used whole chicken so it took longer time to bake. Definately a keeper. Posted picture for this recipe.
