BEST oatmeal cookies ever! I have no idea why people would give this recipe a bad review. I think they must have done something seriously wrong or have been baking on terrible cookie sheets. I've made these twice so far and each time they came out perfect! Slightly crunchy outside and chewy inside--delicious! The first time I followed the recipe to a tee and of course, they came out good. The second time I made them I only had margarine and not even quite enough. I also lost track of how much oats I put in, so I think I screwed that up too. And after THAT I ended up putting everything together in the wrong order. I was sure they weren't going to turn out, but they tasted great, if not better! Just in case you haven't baked a cookie of this consistency before, it's better to let the cookies slightly cool before removing it from the cookie sheet, otherwise, they may break while you try to remove them...but that's nothing new. Also, I use a stoneware baking pan to bake cookies on, but I'm not sure if that necessarily makes them turn out any better. So glad for this recipe and this is my new favorite cookie!
