Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
Didn't have any Swiss laying around, but it didn't hurt it to use another cheese. Tasty and easy.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
This was great. Easy to make. Just like what I'd expect from my favorite Mexican restaurant. I added jalapenos, but that's the only change I made.

This was delicious. Didn't change a single thing other than the amount of meat (2 lbs.).

This turned out really well. Didn't change much at all and served it on egg noodles...very tasty and satisfying.

Chicken Taco Filling

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
This was a pretty basic recipe and I made a couple of minor changes. I added a can of diced tomatoes and chilies and some slices of jalapeno to give it a little more kick. All-in-all I liked it for its simplicity and flavor.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2014
Previous reviews were very helpful. I halved the recipe as I was making it just for me. I agree that it was a tad bit salty, but not overpowering. Low sodium ingredients would certainly take care of that I think. Overall a very tasty and hearty meal.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2014
I made this recipe almost as written. I only changed two things: I used butter instead of margarine and I made my own seasoning mix (using an allrecipe recipe actually). This cut down some on the salt and gave it a nice flavor.

Chuckwagon Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
I think this recipe is a great place to start. Like some of the other reviewers, I browned by beef first. I changed it up a little bit by sauteing it in olive oil along with some bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes and chili powder. I also used Bush's Chili Starter instead of BBQ baked beans. The end result was a hearty and spicy version that I give five stars too.

Very simple to prepare and quite flavorful. I added some fresh minced garlic as well to give it a bit of a punch.
