Blueberry Oat Waffles

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
WOW! These are so good and healthy too. My family loved them and now I make enough to have them the next morning too. The only thing I changed was doing half regular flour and half whole wheat flour. They are so hearty and filling that I can't even eat a whole one. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
This was a good recipe, but I think it needed a little something else. Maybe next time I will cook it part way, add the sauce and then finish cooking. I will try it again.

This is by far the best fried green tomatoe recipe I have tried. I didn't have bread crumbs so I just used some captians crackers I had in the pantry and they worked great. I also added some garlic and it was supurb!

Jewish Apple Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Wonderful! I didn't have enough oil so I did 1/2 C oil and 1/2 C melted butter. I also added another apple and about 1 Tbs sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the apples. I baked it for one hour, but it needed the full 80 min so I put it back in. Next time I will mix the apples in the batter since my cake seperated in the middle because all the apples were in the middle, but that was probably because I added more apples! This is a keeper and I am glad I tried it!

Pumpkin Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
I wanted a coffee cake that wasn't too sweet and my husband loves pumpkin so I thought this one would be great. I did add a whole 15 oz can of pumpkin as someone suggested, and I used 1 tsp of the pumpkin pie spice II recipe. I also did add an extra half cup pecans to the topping because I just love pecans. I baked it for 45 minuets, but it could have been cooked a little longer due to it was VERY moist, almost gooey due to the extra pumpkin added. I wanted more of a coffee cake texture and this was much more "brownie like". My husband and his friends just raved and raved about it so I gave it a 5 star. I am going to see if I like it better in the morning. Overall a great recipe.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
I followed some of the reviews and didn't add nearly as much soy sauce. I did decrease the brown sugar too since I didn't want it to be too sweet. I baked the salmon in foil packets as also was suggested, but I think this would be the best on the grill. Mine is out of commission so I had to bake it. It was still VERY good and I will make it again. My 4 and 5 year olds liked it too so that is an added bonus.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I have made this recipe twice now. The first time I put them in a disposable 9x13 pan then put them in the freezer. I took them with me on vacation to bake there. They did take a while to defrost and then rise, but they were awesome! I just made them again for my husband to take to the musicians at our church and they were awesome again. This time I put them in the fridge for a few hours and then left them out overnight to rise. I baked them in the morning and they were perfect. I always add extra cream cheese to the frosting since I like the cream cheese flavor more then the icing sugar flavor. These are really easy to make and everyone always raves about how good they are.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
This is a great quick crust recipe. I did dissolve the sugar and yeast in the water and after mixing ingredients I did kneed the dough a few times and let rise for 30 min. I divided the dough into two round pizza crusts and it was kinda thin, but very good. I will use this again when I want a homemade crust really fast.

Great recipe even without the breadcrumbs. Makes it low carb without the breadcrumbs. I did more of the seasonings since I thought it needed more.
