Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
This was a pretty good recipe. It is a very different taste than the usual green bean casserole. We thought was as good as the old fashion recipe, just a cheesy option. It is a good recipe, but not fantastic.

Apple Mashed Potatoes

I did not care for this. Vinegar overpowered the meal. Everyone tried it, but no one ate any.

Apple Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
I am only giving this recipe 4 stars because the texture was off. A little too wet which made it kind of gooey and sticky. The taste was fantastic. The second time I made it I reduced the water to about 1/3 cup, and it turned out a little better. I have also used gala, fuji, and honey crisp apples. We also prefer craisins or dried cherries. I think I am going to try dried apricots next time. A very good frequent main dish.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
My sister requests this every time she comes to dinner. She normally likes everything plain with no sauce, but she thinks this is the best way to cook pork chops. The only thing I changed was I cooked the entire dish in an enamel casserole pan so I could move from the stove to oven in one pan.

Pineapple Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This is a great recipe to try something besides plain old chicken or pork chops. I have used both chicken and pork chops and my family loved them both. I have served it with potatoes and rice. Not everyone in the family likes pineapple or cranberry, but mixed they are perfect. I use the jellied or smooth cranberries, because some people don't like the texture of the whole.

Apple Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This is a fantastic recipe. My 6 year old helps me make them at least once a week. I gave some to a friend, and her teenage son said it was the best dessert he has ever had. The texture is not quite a brownie, but not an actual cake texture either. We do skip the nuts because my family doesn't like them. This is a staple for our family.

Ida's Lemon Mousse

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This recipe is tart. Very, very, very tart. I had to mix it half and half with sweetened strawberries before I would eat it. It also made a ton. We had about nine 3/4 cup servings. It was okay, but would not make again.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
I love this recipe. I have used Rolos, Kisses, and Peanut Butter Cups and they have all turned out great. I used a mini muffin pan and filled them a little over 75% full. These are a huge hit at home and the office.

Made as written and it was amazing. I don't think you can make a better apple cake. Perfection.

Snickerdoodles II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
Made as written. Perfect cookie except it had a strong shortening taste. I will either add cinnamon to the batter or change to half butter half shortening as some reviews suggested.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
This is more of a cake type than a bread type muffin. I used the recipe with and without the topping. I used Fuji and Braeburn apples, and they were both good. This is my husbands favorite muffin. I gave it 4 stars because the topping is really messy to clean up after it over flowed the pan. This recipe made 12 standard muffins. This is now my standard apple muffin recipe.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
I am not a chicken salad fan, but this recipe is the best chicken salad I have ever had. I have been making it for about a year. I followed the recipe and I have also halved the recipe and both have turned out perfect. It is more of a chunky style than creamy salad so it works well as a side dish also. I have tried it with craisins and with regular dried cranberries that are in the produce section. They both are good, but I like the craisins best. I have substituted precooked chicken strips, yellow onion, tri colored peppers, walnuts and Miracle Whip and Light Mayo. All of them turned out great. I don't think you could mess up this recipe. A favorite in my house.

Potato Casserole II

I have made this several times and each time it is a knockout. I have occasionally doubled for large family gatherings and used Cream of Mushroom instead of a second can of Cream of Chicken. I usually don't have any leftovers.

I served this to some friends of mine. They really liked it. It is very simple and easy to do, but has a wonderful taste. Very light and wonderful for snacking before a meal.I can't wait to have it in the summer time when I am grilling.

Classy Green Bean Casserole

This was a nice twist on the original. My family really liked the addition of the sour cream. It gave it just a little more zing to the dish. Will use this recipe from now on.

Chicken Scampi I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
Great pasta dish. I served it with angel hair. I took the left over marinade, boiled it for several minutes and tossed it with the angel hair. They only think I would do different is to toss pasta with a little butter before the marinade.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
This recipe was great. I don't usually like meatloaf because it is bland, but this was a knockout. It had loads of flavor. I have given the recipe to several people who also think it is wonderful. I didn't change a thing.
