One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

This is excellent! The only change I made, instead of using lemon extract, I zested a whole lemon into the batter. I did not have eny extract. It had a great tart flavour.

Good Recipe. As someone who has grown up in Halifax, enjoying this amazing treat, I agree that it needs a little oregano. It is a strong herb, but gives you that authentic taste. The only suggestion I want to make is about the sauce. If you are like me, you don't want to wait for the sauce, or when I order out, they never give you enough. Instead of the evap. milk and sugar, use a can of sweetened condensed milk. Add the 1/3 cup of vinegar, and a pinch of garlic powder. Whisk it all together and put in the fridge until ready to eat. DO NOT skip the step of browning the meat in a skillet, it adds so much to the overal taste. If you've never had this before, try it, it will become a family favourite.

Simple Slow Cooker Meatloaf

This is a pretty good recipe. I find the sausage gives it a greasy taste. I used just lean ground beef. I also add in 1/2 cup of all bran cereal to absorb some of the extra moisture. I also put a handful of baby carrots to the bottom of the slow cooker, to raise the meatloaf out of the fat.

Pumpernickel Spinach Dip I

I made this for a staff party, and everyone loved it!! It has an amazing flavour and is great with bread, chips, veggies, etc...

Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Sauce

Great recipe. Lots of strong flavour. I served the with a lemon lime chicken and plain Basmati rice, YUM!!!! I've even substituted lime juice in this recipe, for an equally great taste.
