Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
Excellent! My family loves this stuffing. I use the spicy Italian sausage to give it a little kick. I also use the craisins as recommended by other reviewers. Has become a regular on our holidays.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
This chicken is so crispy on the outside and moist on the inside! My family just loves this. I love that you can play around with the flavors a bit and it still comes out delicious!

Sweet Italian Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
This was delicious! The only modification I made was to reduce the brown sugar to 2 Tbsp. because of my diabetes. Still sweet and delicious!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
I don't use the slow cooker. I just make these on the stovetop while my meat dish is cooking. These are the only kind I make now. Regular potatoes are just bland mush after eating these!

Fabulous Zucchini Grinders

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
This recipe is great despite the fact I completely messed up the premise of the recipe. My little gizmo to cube stuff broke, so I tossed my zucchini into the food processor, sauteed in olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning. I added a roasted red pepper and garlic tomato sauce along with some mozzarella and provolone shredded cheese mix. So I'm looking at this zucchini mix that looks more like sloppy joes wondering what I'm going to do now. I split the buns and served them like an open face sloppy joe, tossed some more cheese on top and WOW! This is the most delicious way I've ever had zucchini! My husband had seconds and my picky 7 y/o son ate quite a bit without complaining.

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
Excellent cake! This was my first attempt at a bundt cake and my family raved about it! I didn't have any plain Bailey's, so I used the mint chocolate Bailey's with a white cake mix and it was just fabulous! Thanks for the recipe.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
I love this stuff. It just disappears off the table when I make it. My little tweaks were using the breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning and last night I added a little cooking sherry to the sauce before the 20 minute cook time. That just added more flavor to an already great dish. YUM!

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
Like so many of the other reviewers, I chopped up and added more vegetables. My family loved it so much they didn't even realize there wasn't any meat! Excellent summer alternative!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
My new favorite soup! Only change I made was to substitute cilantro for the parsley to keep with the flavor of the soup.

Italian Sausage and Zucchini

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2014
This is delicious even without rice or pasta. Like many others I used Italian spices to give it a little extra zing. I like the Perfect Pinch Italian spice mix. Will be making this many more times!

Creamy Spinach

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2014
If I could give this more stars, I would. This stuff is fabulous. I've hated spinach all my life until I tried this. This disappears at my house.

Grandma's Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2014
My family loved this. I used 3/4 cup white sugar and 3/4 cup brown sugar instead and it made a nice crispy topping. The only thing I think detracted from it was the amount of flour. Even after baking I could still smell the flour when we ate it.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
These are just fabulous! I've made them with Splenda and they taste great that way. However, my hubby really went over the moon when I made these with walnut halves. Those went quicker than the pecans. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
This recipe is 5 star with some changes/additions. We loved this with a little more traditional spice additions to mimic the enchilada version. I added the whole 4 oz. can chopped green chiles. They add flavor, not heat. I also added 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin and 1 Tbsp. dried cilantro. I used 1 cup sour cream and 1 can cream of chicken soup. Don't worry, this is supposed to be creamy. I also prebaked the crust for 10 min on recommendation of another reviewer. I topped this off with 2 cups 6 cheese Mexican blend. Then cooked the whole thing for 60 minutes. We couldn't stop eating this stuff. I will definitely be making this again with the traditional mexican spices.

Good tasting soup, but my family didn't really care for the beer taste. Next time I'll make with chicken stock instead.

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
Excellent change from regular spaghetti. Even my picky son loves this one. Sometimes I'll mix it up and use a large jar of pasta sauce or cream sauce instead of the cream of mushroom soup.

Carne Guisada II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I just threw everything into the slow cooker and let it torment us all day with the smell! I made with regular jalapenos, cooked some Mexican rice and fat free refried beans. Put everything in a whole wheat tortilla and had one yummy dinner!
