This was very tasty. I added a cup of blueberries to the batter and sprinkled a few on the top of the icing. Very good. I also used half splenda for the cake part.

Brownie Oat Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
i made this using two whole eggs after reading the reviews from everyone else. i also used honey instead of corn syrup to add more flavour. They were not that great the first day, but i found they got better over the next couple days. i would make them again

Egg-Free Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
For a low fat recipe, these are FANTASTIC! most low fat recipes do not take away my sweet craving but these totally did! i used 1 teaspoon of cinnamon instead of half and splenda white and brown sugar. i also added an extra teaspoon of baking powder. i will definalty make these again!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
These were really good! i didnt have lemons so i added 6 tablespoons of lemon juice and an extra tablespoon of flour just to thicken it just a bit. They came out perfectly and i dusted some powdered sugar on top so they looked beautiful!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

These were amazing!!! My boyfriends family love them! I must say that they taste better than the ones at Starbucks. MMMM! I press them down a little bit before baking so that they spread out and make them BIG! People love them! =)

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
These were very good cookies but i would change the type of candy i used in the middle. i used rieson candys but the middle goes hard when they cool. i think i will try rolo's next time. * Update * I made these again and this time used Mini Reese peanut butter cups and chocolate covered caramels. Everyone seemed to like the peanut butter ones more. One hint for using caramel chocolates, make sure to cover the caramel completely with dough and have no thin spots or cracks; the caramel tends to seep out when the cookie bakes.

Neecie's PBJ Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
This recipe tasted alright but it it took much longer to cook than stated. i also was unable to cut it into bars, so we had to eat it by scooping it out of the pan and eating it with a spoon. Tasted decent, just a little disapointing as it's not what i was hoping for.

Yummy Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: May 17, 2007
good but needs more peanut butter. i added 1/3 of a cup instead of the 3 tablespoons and it still could have used more as it was quite hard to taste. It smelled great in the house baking though! i'd definatly make this again but maybe increase the peanut butter to 1/2 cup.

Blueberry Waffles with Fast Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
These are fantastic!!! The only thing i changed was that i added 1/4 cup of sugar to the batter since i read the reviews saying it was not sweet enough. These made them the perfect sweetness! The waffles had a lightly and fluffy texture and the blueberry sauce was amazing quick to whip up and tasted awesome! They were a big hit with my boyfriend! i will definatly make these again! My only suggestion is to double the sauce because the recipe doesn't make quite enough to support the amount of waffles! UPDATE: I also made this sauce to go with Whole Grain Waffles from this site. The only thing i changed was that i used mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberrys and blueberries) to make the sauce instead of just blueberries. It was SO good!

Ambrosia Fruit Salad

Reviewed: May 3, 2007
This recipe was alright. I think i would have liked it better if there was no nutmeg but maybe thats just personal preference. I wasn't a big fan of this salad the day it was made (also the day i served it, although it did have a couple hours in the fridge) but it was way better the day after and days to come. If your thinking of making this, try making it a day or two in advance. it also tends to have more flavour this way.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: May 1, 2007
This was a very good coffee cake recipe. I added a icing sugar and milk glaze and used half white sugar and half brown sugar. It also presented very nicely so i will definatly make this again for company! The boyfriend really enjoyed this one. :) UPDATE: I made this recipe again for a dinner with my boyfriends family and they said the cake was so pretty and very yummy. Got very good reviews again.

Luscious Chocolate Truffles

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
The only problem with this recipe was the fact that i could not stop eating them. They were so addicting! i tried a variation with peppermint instead of the vanilla but they just weren't the same! stick to the original! i've also found you should not refrigerate it for too long before breaking them into balls as the dough gets very hard. If this happens however, putting it into the microwave for a few seconds worked well for me. Thanks for the recipe!

Banana Muffins I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
For a low fat muffin, these are excellent. i used splenda and nonfat yogurt instead of sour cream because that's all i had in the house. They were very moist and yummy. As a variation i have also added frozen blueberrys and they turn out just as good:)
