Absolute Best Potato Casserole

Delicious - this was a hit with my family. I especially liked that it baked in the amount of time the recipe said. (I've always had trouble with other recipes with the potatoes not being done.)

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
I followed the adjustment suggested by other reviewers and this turned out wonderfully. I doubled the peaches and cinnamon, used only 1 cup sugar, added a teaspoon of vanilla, used a 9x13 pan and baked it for an hour. I also did not have shortening so I substituted margarine and eliminated the salt. The butter with boiling water sounded weird, but it worked. The first time I made this we took it to a church picnic and neither my husband or I got to taste it because it disappeared so fast. It was the only dessert that the dish was scrapped clean (even the brownies had leftovers). We invited company over specifically so I could make it again and we could try it ourselves.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Delicious recipe! I found it works better baked in a square pan like a coffee cake because it can be a bit crumbly (which I like).

Spinach Combo

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
Good starter recipe. I was a little skeptical, but we just moved and these were the ingredients I had on hand. My husband and I found it a little bland, but my kids had thirds; so I will definitely be making it again. Adjustments I made were 1)no tomatoes, 2)added chicken, 3)added a little cream of chicken soup mix. Next time I want to try cooking the rice in chicken broth.

I serve this over noodles instead of rice and my husband says it's the best stroganoff he's ever had.

Mushroom Turkey Casserole

a good starter recipe. I added onions and garlic powder and used cream of celery with chicken bullion instead of cream of chicken and celery.

Made these for my son's class and got high praise. They didn't last long at home either.

Classic Butter Cookies II

An easy and delicious butter cookie! I used vanilla instead of almond (usually goes over better with my family) and rolled the balls in sugar before flattening them.

Mouth Watering Ribs

Tastes like real barbecue sauce and uses things I keep on hand so I don't need to go to the store. Everyone loves it and friends ask for the recipe.
