Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: May 22, 2014
I was skeptical even after reading the reviews because ground turkey does not usually pick up flavoring from anything and tends to be so dry. Boy was I wrong! This was so flavorful. My husband even loved it and wanted seconds! I did change it a bit after reading other reviews. I added sliced mushrooms, cooked the onion, garlic and mushrooms half way then added the ground turkey. I also added about a cup of low sodium chicken broth and just a couple tablespoons of light sour cream. Served it over egg noodles. Quick and easy and great flavor! Thanks so much for sharing hotmama!

Country-Style Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
Sorry but I did not care for this recipe. The flavors just did not blend well in my opinion. The allspice and cloves were over powering. Maybe its just me but will definitely not be making this again.

Broccoli and Ramen Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
I love this salad but am giving it 4 stars because I like the noodles cooked and not so much uncooked. Instead of peanuts I use slivered almonds like others have suggested. Also, it needs the soy sauce added for a better flavor. Over all one of my favorite summertime salads.

Grilled Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
I thought this was ok but not great. I love peanut butter and thought the flavors worked well together but for some reason was not wowed by it. I am giving this four stars because it wasn't bad, just not my kind of thing.

American Chop Suey II

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
I have been making a dish very similar to this and my family loves it. I use 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef, add a bit of minced onion, celery and green peper while cooking the beef and then you add 1 can of tomato soup and a small can of tomato paste. The best ingredient I add is small chopped pepperoni bits! It really adds a good flavor and kick to this recipe. I add the cooked elbows to the ground beef mixture, cover with your choice of cheese and bake for 1/2 hour at 350. Delicious!

I thought this banana bread was so good and so easy to make. I will definately be using this recipe from now on!I did what other readers suggested and added 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. vanilla and increased the brown sugar to 1 full cup. Everyone loved it and it was gone by the end of the day. Thanks for sharing your recipe Shelley!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
This bread is absolutely delicious! I did it exactly as written but made two loaves instead of three. One had walnuts, one had chocolate chips. I brought this in for some friends and they raved about how moist it was. I was almost gone by the end of the morning. Only thing I noted was baking took much longer so be careful of this!

Abby's Chicken Rollatini

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
I just served this to my family tonight and have to tell you, it is one of the most fantastic, tasty, and easiest chicken dishes I have ever made! I used the thin sliced boneless chicken breasts instead of pounding out regular boneless chicken breasts and think this helped also with rolling because the chicken was so nice and thin. Thank's Kris for such a wonderful dish! My entire family raved about it!

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
I made this recipe for myself last night and it was so delicious that I am making it again tonight for my husband. My grill was out of gas, so I sauteed the chicken in a pan in the marinade. It turned out crispy and yummy! Very easy to make and had all the ingredients! Will definately make this again!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Oh MY GOd! I can see why this recipe got 5 stars! It is one of the most delicious recipes I have ever eaten and it was very easy! I used fresh baby spinach and cooked up the sliced mushrooms with my spinach. The flavor of the sauce is to die for. My sons 21 and 20 and my husband all raved about it. I will definately make this again. Thank you Bryan for such a delicious recipe!

Aunt Jewel's Chicken Dressing Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
My husband and son really liked this recipe. It was quick and easy and I served it with white rice and green beans. I added chopped celery and onion to the bouillon when cooking the chicken and only parboiled for 20 minutes (that is all you need!). I filled the can with 3/4 of milk and added some of the bouillon with plenty of celery and onion to it. Also when mixing the stuffing (I only had the herb seasoning stuffing on hand and used more than the recipe calls for) I added the chopped celery and onion and added poultry seasoning like I do real stuffing. It came out fanstatic, had alot of flavor and the chicken was moist. I will definately make this again.

Fruit Dip I

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
I made this up for a sips and dips get together with friends and everyone liked it, including my college age boys who got into it after everone left. i gave this four stars isntead of five because I thought it was pretty good but not exceptional. It was, however, very simple to whip up.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2005
This recipe was very easy to make and pretty good. My husband said it was the best pork chops he ever ate. They were very moist. I do agree with some of the other reviewers, I think it does need a little kick, it was a bit on the bland side.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
I have made this several times and plan on making it for an open house Christmas party. If you are looking for a great, easy, nice looking appetizer, this is it! Did I mention it was delicious? I use the phyllo cups because they look very pretty, and the added little bit of crunch goes very very well with the filling and everyone raves about them! I also make sure not to add too much mayo and I use fresh basil and green onions for flavor. Awesome!!!!
