Chicken Cheddar and Guacamole Burgers

The fat from the shredded cheese in the ground chicken is what makes this super moist. I did not add the onion, although it calls for it, since it was not mentioned in the instructions, and I actually forgot about it. Next time I would cut back a bit on the cumin so it doesnt taste so much like taco meat. I did add some lime zest to the meat, which gave it an extra kick. Overall, it was ok, but 5 stars for the awesome idea to add shredded cheddar for moistness, even though you dont really taste the cheese in the meat.

Famous No Coffee Pumpkin Latte

My whole family loved this. Only change I made was to substitute half the cinnamon called for for pumpkin spice and added nutmeg. Soooo yummy. I made with 1% milk, but next time I'll use whole milk for a richer taste!

White Chocolate Mocha

Made this for my 21 year old daughter. Didn't have white choc syrup, so I dropped in one white choc morsel at a time in the hot coffee (in order for it not to seize), gave it a good stir after each one, and it worked perfectly! I used about 10 white choc chips. Sprinkled some cinnamon on top! Really delicious!

Asian Chicken Salad

We love this! I typically don't put in as much brown sugar or sesame oil as called for(the oil is so over-powering)and sometimes I'll add a pinch of ginger. Excellent!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Yeast Waffles

The first batch I made, I followed the directions and ingredients to a "T", but they were VERY bland, so I added more sugar and vanilla and that helped a little. I didn't particularly like the sour taste the yeast gave, either. This may be an "ok" base waffle mix but just add cinnamon or chocolate chips to pizzaz the flavor a bit. Even with syrup, they still weren't that great. As is 2 stars (plus a half star because it did have a nice crunch), with added sugar and vanilla, I'd give it a 3.

Nana's Southern Coleslaw

Really good recipe but I thought it was missing something because it tasted a little too "mayo-ish" and I figured out what it's missing: CELERY SALT! Add that to this recipe, and it will be 5 stars. I aded a little dill, a tad more lemon juice and buttermilk as well. I cut down on the sugar also. Really good! Thank you for sharing :)

Blueberry Breakfast Sauce

WAY too much sugar! This could have been a 5 star blueberry topping, but the amount of sugar called for (1/2 cup) is just entirely too sweet. I had to keep adding water, cornstarch, OJ...anything to make it not taste like candy! ICK! Finally, I adjusted it by adding more water and cornstarch and a pinch of salt and it tasted much better. In my opinion, sugar should not be the main star of such a wonderful fruit, the blueberries should! By not being so sweet, makes it a classier topping.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Oh wow! This is quite delicious, thick and hearty! I subbed turkey sausage for the Italian to make it healthier and I also added fennel seeds (a must in my opinion). SO delicious with a crusty bread. I also added chicken bouillon with milk since I didn't have enough broth. Next time I will try it with part skim, part half and half to cut calories and maybe add a little bit of potato flakes to thicken. SO GOOD! Perfect for winter!

Pizza Casserole

This was really good as a base recipe. To make it a little healthier, I swapped ground beef for turkey sausage links that I crumbled up and added fennel seeds and Italian seasoning to that. I also swapped turkey pepperoni for reg pepperoni and added fresh basil to the sauce. I kept everything else the same. Delish!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Excellent sauce! Doubled recipe and mixed brown and white sugar (but not as much as called for). We love a garlicky teriyaki, so I added 4 cloves of garlic to the doubled recipe. Pierced thighs with fork before brushing sauce on there. Also due to time constraints, I seared the thighs on both sides before putting in oven to cook faster. Sesame seeds were added to sauce and put on top of rice with thighs. Super good!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Halved the recipe. Made this using NO butter( replaced butter with apple sauce and 1 tblspn oil) and it was STILL so moist and absolutely decadent! My entire family of 5 loved it!

Uncle Bill's Sweet and Sour Sauce

Been searching for a sweet and sour recipe for a while, and this one is perfect! I did not add the MSG or the red food coloring. I did add sesame oil, only like a few drops since it is super strong.

Banana Pudding IV

Soooo yummy! This dessert does not last long when i make it. I alwyas put it in a trifle dish for easy assemble and beautiful presentation. I make just as directed, however i add a little more cream cheese to cut back on the sweetness and it almost tastes like a cheesecake factory banana cheesecake. I always make my own whipping cream to make it more rich and less artificial tasting. I would not use banana flavored pudding in this like some reviewers did...that would make it taste too artificial tasting.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Oh. My. Goodness. AMAZING. I added about 3/4 cup blueberries to the dough. Instead of 1 cup sour cream, I did 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt and 1/2 cup sour cream with 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice and about 1/2 tsp lemon zest. I also used butter with salt, so I didn't use all the amount called for. I made a lemon glaze to go on top. These scones were simply delicious. A true 5 star recipe!!!!!
