Unbelievable Spinach Calzones

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
Very forgiving recipe! I lessened the ricotta cheese because I hate ricotta, and doubled the parmesan and mozarella. I also sauteed an onion and a carton of mushrooms and added that into the filling. I ran out of pizza dough and so I filled squares of refrigerated crescent dough. Also a couple slits in the top will keep the calzones from bursting. My husband loved this!

Great, even my husband liked it and he doesn't usually eat avocado in anything but guacamole.

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
I usually use 1 cup chocolate soy milk and honey peanut butter. Definately freeze the banana before making the smoothie.

Original Irish Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Very good, I'm not really a fan of Bailey's but I had to try it before I give it out as gifts. I used half & half and 1 cup of canadian whiskey but everything else I left the same. I think this has more of a chocolate taste and less "bite" which is probably why I like it better

Scottish Shortbread III

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Yum! I used 2 c all-purpose and 2 c wheat flour because I ran out of all-purpose. I also baked mine in 2 9-inch cake pans cause I like my shortbread in rounds. Still came out great!

Pro Ganache

My favorite chocolate frosting recipe! I don't whip it, just melt everything together until smooth and cool in the fridge overnight to thicken it. I always bring extra to parties with strawberries for dipping.

Sugar Cream Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
Had to try this after a friend ranted and raved about it. It was easy enough to make, it set up fine. I didn't have to put foil on it. I used a graham cracker crust though because I don't like pastry pie crust.

Pfeffernusse Cookies

Just like I remember them (I added 1/2t extra pepper). I'm going to give them out this year because everyone that I've mentioned them to has never had them.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Kind of hard, but I tasted a piece out of the fridge. It should be softer and more fudge-like at room temp. The only change I made was I half-n-halfed the chocolate chips. Came back to give it the extra star, was perfect at room temp and the first thing everyone ate in my Christmas goodie tins. One coworker asked me if she gave me back her tin if I would fill it with this fudge.

5 Minute Chocolate Fix

Use 1 T of cocoa and 1/2-1 t extracts for more flavor. My microwave gets the best texture with 2min and 45sec on high.

Chocolate Pudding Cake II

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Turned out great. I doubled the recipe but left out a cup of water because I didn't use a big enough pan. It boiled over a little but is still excellent. I served it with whipped cream.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
The first one I did red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and a almond bark coating. No one liked the almond bark much but they ate the cake out of the middle. Secondly, I did cherry chip cake with a milk chocolate frosting and a chocolate coating with regular chocolate chips. The coating was soft and needed to be refrigerated but everyone liked the taste and texture better. Maybe a 50/50 mix of candy coating and chips would be better?

Amazing Slow Cooker Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
Like a pudding cake with no sauce. Very moist and dense. I lifted the lid at the 3 hour mark and it was still liquid in the middle so I left for another half hour untouched and then removed the lid for the 30 minute rest. Only change I made was I only have Special Dark Cocoa powder in my pantry and I'm definately not missing the chocolate flavor!

Wild Rice Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
This recipe is pretty foolproof, I added 3 cloves of garlic, carrots, and corn. I omitted the evaporated milk and just used regular milk. My husband loved it and I finally found a recipe to use up all the venison sausage we're given in the fall.

Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread

Turned out great in my machine. I checked the doughball and it was too wet and I probably added in a cup of flour. The loaf was picture perfect and the bread was moist and airy.

Apple Raisin Cakes

5 stars for delicious and nutritious. The only thing I changed was to add a chopped Granny Smith apple. My husband took a bite and gave me a suspicious look until I explained they they were healthy and had whole wheat flour and no oil in them. So he's been munching on them all morning.
