About this Cook
Although my mom cooked frequently when I was a child, I was never much interested in cooking until I started my career as a veterinarian. I initially began cooking during my time off as stress relief, but slowly and steadily became addicted to the art of kitchen tinkering. Many of my first attempts were quite sad and nearly inedible; I was truly clueless in both the taste and technique departments. However with perseverance, this website, and the sacrifice of many unfortunate ingredients, a decent and eager cook was born and developed.
My favorite things to cook
-Peanut butter fudge: I'm told (by many) that my recipe just can't be beat. -Bolognese: The work of a few years of tweaking, this is my favorite spaghetti sauce ever. -Cheesecake: I only recently became aware of what I believe is the key ingredient to make cheesecakes the way I like it- sour cream. Now I'm obsessed (key lime cheesecake is my favorite).
My cooking triumphs
-Chocolate cappuccino cheesecake: Firm yet creamy, rich and chocolately with just the right amount of coffee flavor. Yum! -Almond pavlova with Kahlua cream filling. Light, pretty, delicious, and broke my first hand mixer in the process (thus will always be memorable). -
My cooking tragedies
There's definitely been more than 1000 characters worth of tragedies in my kitchen.

Angel's Pasta
I'm currently doing the slim fast diet and this was a welcome 200 calorie lunch in place of a shake. Light but filling, good flavor. This will become a regular for me. Thanks for sharing!

No Bake Lime Mousse Torte
Twice as good after being frozen, but I honestly thought this was more work than regular cheesecake. It's good for when you don't have time to bake and cool a cheesecake though.

Banana Crumb Muffins
Outstanding! Only thing I changed was to add 1 tsp. of vanilla extract and 3/4 cup chopped walnuts to the batter. This recipe is a keeper!!
