Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
good! I drizzled olive oil in the baking dish and then a little over the chicken thighs and potatoes (more over potatoes), then brushed the tops of chick with melted butter before seasoning. Very cripy and moist!

Cheesy Chicken and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
this turned out really well--reminded me of chicken pot pie. I did make several adjustments: used two boxes scalloped potatoes and cooked on stove. Sauted seasoned chicken and diced onions. When both were done, I mixed chicken in pot with potatoes, added a drained can of mixed veggies, and about a half can of cream of chick soup. Baked for 35 mins covered, then added cheese and italian bread crumbs and baked uncovered for about 15 mins. Many thanks to earlier reviewers for the good tips--this is a keeper!!

Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This was a hit with my family, and we don't particularly like soy sauce. The marinade was a TAD too strong for my liking, but overall, a really great, easy recipe.

Chicken and Peppers with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
excellent!! I used balasamic vingrette salad dressing since I didn't have any balsamic vinegar, but just 2 tbsp added to the veggies before putting the chicken back in for about 25 mins to simmer. should have reduced the olive oil in light of that, but will do so next time if I use the salad oil again. super easy recipe and great flavor!!

Toffee Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
This is a childhood fave of mine too, so was happy to find the recipe; I needed an entire 1/2 pound size hershy bar for the chocolate frosting, and also substituted walnuts for pecans (all I had); yummy, and a HUGE hit with my family!

really good! like other reviewers, I put oil & lemon mixture on first, then sprinkled the mixed spices on; also placed spent lemons in chick cavity. baked for almost 2 hours at 350.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
really good--I used a little too much oil, so mine weren't as crunchy. I baked at 425, 15 mins on each side, then sprinkled cheese on top and broiled for a few mins. I didn't use paprika or chili powder, but will try adding them next time. Also, as suggested by other reviewers, I put oil & spices in ziplock and then added wedges and shook 'em up before arranging on cookie sheet sprayed with Pam.

Awesome Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2006
This was my first time making chicken soup, and it turned out great! I did add a couple cloves of garlic to the pre-strained broth, and some minced to the actual broth, as well as lemon pepper (couldn't find lemon grass), and a goodly amount of coarse black pepper. I used about 6 lbs of chicken thighs, and used closer to a pound of noodles (also upped the water to ~ a gallon and a half). As other reviewers suggested, I cooked my noodles separately. Good recipe, esp for first-timers! Thanks!

Easy Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
I too seasoned the chicken, but this was very good and very easy--I only had three chicken breasts, but even w/four, I think the "sauce" could be reduced almost by half and still be plenty.

Easy Homestyle Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
this recipe is AWESOME!!!! I omitted onions, used frozen green beans (boiled, then drained), used almost a whole can of chicken broth for liquid, and sprinkled the boulion on top. I've NEVER liked green beans, but loved these--and my friend who's always loved them, said they were the BEST he's ever eaten. THANKS!!!!!!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
Having never made soup before, I was a little daunted by the idea of making a roux and cooking through the thickening process, but all came out fine. I did reduce flour and butter to 1 cup each, as suggested by other reviewers; even so, this soup did come out extremely thick. I used ~ a cup more cheese (sharp cheddar) than called for, and increased salt & pepper and added both minced garlic and garlic salt, but it still came out a little bland. The bacon helped some with flavor. Also, I was happy to discover peeling baked potatoes once cooled was as easy as peeling raw onces with a knife--I expected it to be far messier/difficult.
