Cream Cheese Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Very much like the recipe I used to make when I was younger. I always use the nilla wafer cookie at the bottom of the muffin tin and top with cherry pie filling. Yum!

Easy Coconut Macaroons

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
I thought these were super easy to make and tasted great. They are very sweet, but that is how i like cookies. I made a double recipe using half splenda and half sugar. My cookies did not stick to the pans, i guess that has happened to other reviewers. I did grease the pans and coat with cornstarch and they came right off with a spatula.

Lower Fat Fudge Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
This was great! I used half splenda and half sugarand low-fat vanilla yogurt. I also substituted almond extract for the vanilla (since I used the vanilla yogurt)and I like almond flavoring.

Jewish Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
YUM! I made some changes per suggestions from others. I mixed the apple slices with cinnamon and sugar (let it sit for 5 mins or so) prior to layering. I didn't measure out the cinnamon and sugar, I just went by how it looked and tasted. I also used rum instead of orange juice. This was absolutely delicious. Tasted best the next day or two. But it tasted great the first day too!

New Orleans Shrimp Toss

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
This was very tasty. I used the low fat plain cream of chicken and it tasted great! With the amount of sauce that it makes, you could easily double the shrimp.

Christmas Cornflake Wreath Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2005
I love these cookies but this recipe has too much butter. I used less butter, more marshmallows and more cornflakes.

Gary's Turkey Burritos

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This was fast, easy and very tasty. I read other reviews and instead of tomato sauce I used a 16 oz. jar of garden salsa. This came out great.

Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
This was pretty tasty, but I think I will omit the topping next time as it just got all over th place and didn't really stay on the muffin. I thought the batter seemed really dense when I was preparing it so I added a smidge more milk and a teaspoon of vanilla. They did stick to the muffin pan but, all in all, they tasted good.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
This was a great and super simple recipe. We don't like crumb topping on our muffins in general, so we just had them plain. I only adjustment was 1/2 t. lemon extract. I agree with previous reviewers that the batter is nice and thick making nice muffin tops! (these would also be good with white chocolate chips....mmmm...)

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
YUM!! Perfect brownies. I will never bake brownies from a box ever again. I too used cocoa powder and oil. I also only used 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter and 2 eggs. These brownies are too good for words, and the one bowl just makes them even better.

Yhis recipe was simple and delicious. I took the advice of another reviwer and added garlic and herbs as well as a little lemon juice. I also used vegetable broth for some of the water when cooking the couscous. Overall this was easy and tasted great!

Italian Anisette Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
These cookies were easy to make and tasty too. I think maybe a little dry, and almost like there was something missing. I put a lot more almond extract in, b/c i like that stuff.

White Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This is my favorite frosting recipe of all time. I have a similar one that I got from my grandmother that I have been using for the past 25 years. It always works and tastes great as long as you beat it long enough to get fluffy. I am not sure what others are doing wrong but if I could make it consistently as an eight year old girl, I consider it a pretty good recipe.

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
This recipe is fantastic. This recipe is so versatile! I like quiche, but don't like eating the crust (not because I don't like the taste but because I know all of those calories are going to my hips. I have made this recipe a few times with various "what-ever was left in the fridge" ingredients. I have used deli ham and cheddar, then I used low fat mexican cheese and some frozen broccoli. You can put just about anything in this recipe and it will turn out perfect. I have even used half eggbeaters and half eggs and I always use skim milk and it sets just fine. I love how a "crust" forms on the bottom from the cheese, but it isn't really a crust.

Fluffy Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Tasted great and was super easy to make. I didn't really even read the reviews until after I made the frosting. I was searching for something quick. This frosting was perfect. Not too sweet and just fluffy enough. I also liked the size of the recipe. This was a good amount for cupcakes - I didn't end up with tons of leftover frosting like other recipes.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
These were beyond tasty! The perfect level of chocolatey goodness. I also added some mini marshmallows that I had on hand. I also use dark chocolate chips because I prefer them to semi sweet. Cookies were moist and delicious. Next time I plan on mixing up with white chocolate chips or trying the mint like another reviewer suggested. Needless to say, this is a keeper!!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
This was fantastic! I couldn't believe how many people loved it. It was gone in a couple of hours. The recipe was delicious. I didn't make the cinnamon chips, instead I bought the cinnamon Stacy's pita chips already made. It saved me a little bit of time.
