Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. It is one of my favorite Mexican dishes and this is an authentic restaurant style rellenos. Delicious!

Chinese-Style Baby Bok Choy with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
This was very good even without the oyster sauce (I just added a little extra reduced sodium soy sauce). I have also made this with shiitake mushrooms.

Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Used buttermilk in place of the milk otherwise followed the recipe exactly. They came together beautifully. The dumplings were moist and tasty in my chicken and dumplings.

Spiced Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
This is a very good dressing. The sweetness of the balsamic and the kick of the red pepper are nice with almost any mixed salad.

Zucchini Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
This was great as is, but can include a number of additions and/or substitutions. I sometimes cut down on the cheese with no consequence - still rich and delicious.

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Used this frosting to top a vanilla bean with lime curd layer cake. Added a few teaspoons lime juice to the frosting. It came out light, fluffy and shiny.

Kofta Kebabs

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Very good. I used a bit less cinnamon (personal preference) but other than that followed it to a "t". Did not use skewers, simply rolled into oblong shape and threw onto the (indoor) grill. Sprinkled with sumac and served with lettuce, cucumber, yogurt, radishes and tomato.

Cake Batter Ice Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
It's cake batter, it's ice cream, it's delicious! This is a rich and creamy treat that I will make again. I did follow others advice by upping the cake mix to 1 cup. Can't wait to try it with yellow cake mix.

These are delicious! I have made them a few times, once doubling the recipe using 1/2 pound spicy Italian sausage, always to rave reviews.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
What can I say that hasn't already been said? I echo the praises of this one - it's a keeper! I did reduce the sugar by a 1/4 cup because my berries were quite sweet.

Coconut Pumpkin Nut Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
I have made this twice now. Both times I cut the sugar and oil to almost half of what's called for and doubled the spices. I have also made it with persimmon rather than pumpkin puree. Always delicious!

Butternut Squash Soup with a Kick

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
I halved this recipe and though it was delicious I was missing the kick of the jalapeno and the flavor of the coconut milk. To make up I sprinkled cayenne pepper on top. Next time I may do as others suggested and use more coconut and less evaporated milk as well as throwing in a few jalapeno seeds. There will definitely be a next time!
