Cherry Chocolate Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2014
The proportion of cherries to topping is way off. I'd use at least half again as much cherry. The texture of the topping is odd; it was like pie dough when I put it in the oven, but came out like dense brownie.

Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2014
I added a lot more peanut butter, because I wanted the flavor and also thought the sauce looked too thin. But it thickened up well and was delicious and quick!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies VI

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2014
I used half margarine and half applesauce. They didn't spread out much at all. Good flavor and moist.

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I like these, but ended up adding AT LEAST another cup of flour to make the dough at all possible to roll (& it was still way too sticky).

Calabacitas con Elote (Zucchini with Corn)

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2013
I used this recipe for guidance, but didn't measure things. It was a great way to use up a plethora of zukes and summer squash! (I used some of each.) I didn't have cojita, so used grated Colby Jack, and that tasted good and counteracted some of the heat from the small hot peppers I used. I made a very large batch thinking I'd add beans for a hearty lunch the next day, but my husband ate 3 servings so I didn't have a lot left...

Fruit Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
I'd been wanting to make these and was happy to find the recipe and suggestions. I doubled the top & bottom ingredients for a 9"x13" pan and it turned out well. My tip is to give the oats a quick spin in a blender or food processor. You get all the benefits of oatmeal, but it's less chunky for family members who may not love oatmeal's texture so much.
