Chili I
By far my favorite chili recipe. For the chili peppers I like to use 2 pablanos and 2 serranos, 1 tbsp ground cumin instead of cumin seeds, and up to 28 oz of crushed tomatoes instead of the diced. The longer the simmer the better.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup
This was a surprisingly good soup. I wasn't sure about the dill, but it and the paprika combine to make a unique taste. I sliced the mushrooms extra-thick to make it a little chunkier, and they could have used a little longer cooking time, but that's my fault for not testing them before I served the soup.

Alison's Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup
This is my favorite recipe on this site. Very easy, and positively delicious, especially served with a hearty bread for dipping. I like to use frozen "vegetables for stew," which makes the soup chunkier. Also, I use two packages of frozen vegetables, and don't put in the potatoes (there are potatoes in the frozen veggies). As a side note, make sure to cook this one for 8 hours on low, and don't try and do it for 4 hours on high -- the meat will turn out tough.
