Easy Pleasy Mac N Cheesy - US Navy Style

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2012
So good! I occasionally made this ahead of time, refrigerate overnight, add a little milk to it and cooked for 45min. This is the only Mac n cheese my entire family agrees on. To make it healthier, I use light sour cream, 2% velveeta, skim milk, skim parm cheese. I also omit the butter, the breadcrumbs cook up fine without it. I sometimes add a layer of 2% sharp cheddar before popping in the oven. Thank you for this great recipe and your service to our country.

Quick and Easy Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
I love this recipe and everyone always asks me to make it. I tried fat free half and half before and it was too runny. I probably should have added corn starch. Anyway, I now stick to the original but I add another can of clams, a splash of onion powder, and a few potatoes cubed. One hour or so before it is done, I add a small bag of frozen corn and hormel bacon pieces. Oh, it is so thick and yummy. Great with sourdough bread and salad or melted ham/cheese sandwiches. Thanks!!

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
these are SO good. My sister first made them a few years back and although I am not a fan of dill pickles, I love this appetizer. I could eat them all the time. My personal favorite it ham - the thicker imported ham slices. I add a tad bit of horseradish to the cream cheese too. A recommendation so it isn't so messy. Dry off the ham slices first and spead the cheese on the ham, not the pickles. Very easy and YUMMY!!!
