Cream Soup Base

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
As a BASE this is very good. I have used it to make cream of broccoli, "baked potato" soup, etc. However, with heartier soups (i.e. baked potato) it is thick and wonderful. I thin it out for more delicate soups such as cream of mushroom, cream of broccoli. Add whatever you like and you have a great soup.

Coffee Flavored Liqueur II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
I use this recipe quite a bit but the water is cut down to 3 cups (adds to the thickness of the finished product). I also use 3 teaspoons of good quality pure vanilla instead of the vanilla bean. I save small dark glass bottles (sterilized) and give as gifts.

Pork Chops Over Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
With a family of 8 everyone liked this recipe thus the five stars. However I did season my pork chops with our "house seasoning" (salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder) other than that I made the recipe as is and the whole family raved!

Horseradish Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This is my go too recipe for deviled eggs. I always use Miracle Whip though. Different brands of horseradish will make a difference so be careful and use one you love. We have two brands of prepared at our store the one with a green top always seems hotter than the one with the white top. Also the creamy horseradish spread you find with the mustards is also good to use just cut down on the mayo a bit.

Mushroom and Spinach Ravioli with Chive Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2013
Wonderful dough recipe, I have a pasta roller (hand crank) which made rolling the dough very easy. I adore mushrooms and the filling was so good! I halved the cayenne pepper for the kids and although I would have liked to make the sauce the kids wanted theirs with alfredo (also from allrecipes). I just finished dinner and am stuffed! Thank you larkspur for this wonderful recipe!

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I left out the cream cheese totally as I was out I would have added 4 oz. I upped the ground beef by 1/2 lb. Left out gravy mix but added 2 tsp beef base to the browned ground beef. I didnt add the whole amount of milk just enough to get the consistency I wanted. Good stuff!

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
I subbed brown sugar and doubled everything else but the sugar. We have lots of beef in the freezer (just got a cow)so I use round, sirloin, even chuck steak. Marinate over night. Serve over rice. I also stir fry any combo of veggies I have, onions (or green onions), carrots, snow peas, broccoli, cauliflower, green peas, green beans, bok choy etc. (whatever I have on hand!)and add to the dish. My kids LOVE it!!!

Cream Cheese Kolacky

These were very similar to my grandmother's recipe which she filled with date filling, apricot filling and raspberry filling. Made these to add to my Christmas cookie platters. cut out tops/bottoms (tops had a star shape cut out of it) and made with raspberry filling for my dad and date filling for my mom. They loved them.
