Hash Brown Quiche

My son who hates eggs but loves hash browns devoured this! It was very easy to make and delicious!! You can change the ingredients around to almost anything i.e. shrimp, veggies, pizza-like, etc., or just enjoy as is.

Grandma's Pork Chops in Mushroom Gravy

We all really enjoyed this very tasty recipe. The only things I did differently were that I used chicken stock instead of beef broth (didn't have any at home), used fresh mushrooms instead of canned, and I didn't make the gravy and just used the remaining juice with the mushrooms as a side. I should have made more pork chops because everybody wanted seconds!

Cocoa Apple Cake

This recipe is definitely a keeper. Instead of half a cup of water I used a quarter cup of water and a quarter cup of rum. I also eliminated the allspice and doubled the cinnamon. I will definitely make this part of my holiday baking.

Lobster Bisque

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD EVER MADE LOBSTER BISQUE AND IT WAS A COMPLETE SUCCESS. I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE MAKING IT AND USED THE ADVICE OF THE OTHER COOKS. I CHOPPED THE ONIONS INSTEAD OF SLICING THEM, USED 2 CUPS OF HEAVY CREAM INSTEAD OF MILK, ADDED GARLIC POWDER AND TOMATO PASTE, AND SOME WHITE WINE. I ALSO USED TWO CHICKEN BOUILLON CUBES WITH TWO CUPS OF WATER FOR THE CHICKEN STOCK. IF I WERE TO DO IT AGAIN, I WOULD ADD ONLY ONE BOUILLON CUBE AND ONE CUP OF HEAVY CREAM WITH ONE CUP OF MILK. I DIDN'T HAVE CAYENNE PEPPER SO I JUST USED BLACK PEPPER.
