Easy Sour Cream Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
I did not care for this. It was like expecting to bite into cheesecake but getting ricotta pie instead. There was way to much for one pie shell. WAY TO MUCH! I attempted to use 2/3's of it in one shell and it just kept on rising. Maybe Half all the ingredients. It tasted like egg. It's a shame I didn't read the 1 star reviews first. I am a starting chef and I didn't think this recipe sounded okay but I tried it anyways.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2014
I used this recipe for the first time about a month ago and I am making it tonight for the 4th time since. The sauce is pretty good, reminds me of regular Open Pit BBQ sauce. Bakes nicely too. Thanks! Try this sauce with chicken too!

Marvelous Mini Mexican Quiches

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
The first time I have made quiche. The dough can be stretched real thin. I could see the metal of the 24 mini muffin tin I was using. I made half of them with a ton of filling and the other half without. This recipe provides a lot of filling and it is the perfect amount of filling if you fill every cup half way and stretch the dough up half way definitely. Cook the chorizo before using it and drain as much grease as possible.

Quick Chicken and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2014
I threw in a half cup more of cheddar and a can if cream corn plus an additional tablespoon of starch. I simmered it with the beans and it didn't take long to thicken up, plus there was so much good stuff in there. Next time I am going to use 1 cup of red peppers and a few pinches of cayenne.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2014
I adjusted for 2 servings and it was great. Great cream sauce recipe. Didn't need to change a thing but I used a smaller pan for the sauce and sausage but also used spicy sausage so I excluded the red pepper. It came out perfect. For sure a keeper. Make sure you have experience with sauces before you attempt this. The recipe is perfect down to the last word. You shouldn't have to drain any grease and the flavor plus color comes from the sausage. If you use ground pork make sure you season with more then red pepper.

BLT Salad

The dressing was great. Don't skimp on the bacon. It's fine without croutons.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2014
No caramel. Way more butter needed or a much smaller pan. Yields about a tablespoon of sauce with four chops. I used 4 tablespoons butter. Came out great. I kight alsobuse 1 apple for the 4 chops if you've got a smaller cut. Mine came in anpackage of 7 chops. This recipe taste great. I am going to try more butter next time for more sauce, and also prep the ingredients before starting the chops so they don't dry out in the oven. I didn't need to cook the sauce at all so keeping the apples warm was not needed.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
This recipe worked out great for simples waffles. It made about 5 giant waffles. I used wax paper to freeze two of them in the freezer and they reheated great in the toaster oven. I reccomend this recipe to anyone who just got a new waffle iron.
