Sweet and Sour Meatballs II

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
I used prepared meatballs but made the sauce pretty much as written (cut down the amounts but kept proportions the same) and really enjoyed it! I really like vinegar-y tastes but my boyfriend does not but we were both happy so I'd say the proportion of vinegar was right on. Will try a little less sugar next time maybe with some hot sauce.

Sausage and Bow-Tie Pasta Florentine

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Really good and super easy. I made my own Alfredo (didn't have jarred sauce) by sauteing 3 cloves garlic in 2 tbsps butter, adding tbsps flour, and then 2 cups half and half, stirring in a bunch of parm towards the end, and black pepper to taste. Really liked the combination of creamy pasta and spinach with spicy browned sausage.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
Just as everyone says, these are wonderful. I don't think it's possible to screw them up. I used half whole wheat flour/half white as that's what I had on hand. Rolled them in cinnamon sugar. Mine took a little while longer, but my oven wasn't overly hot when I put them in. Lovely, quick - I had a cookie craving and about 20 minutes later, I am enjoying them!

Shrimp Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2005
This was one of the best quiches I've ever had!!! It was light and a little fluffy (how quiche should be I think). I made no changes, except I mixed the ingredients together and then poured it into the shell. The Gruyere cheese and the shrimp were a great taste together...what a nice, light meal.

Excellent and Healthy Cornbread

Reviewed: May 8, 2005
I liked these (I put them in muffin tins to make little muffins)...they were just a little bit dry (I found) but had a nice taste. I would definitely make them again!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2005
Great muffins!!! I added chocolate chips because I love that combination, but kept a couple muffins without chocolate - they were excellent just by themselves. They seem to freeze well if you want to make a bigger batch (like I did). Wonderful.

Southwestern Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
I took out the chicken, but I did make the salad dressing as the recipe said. It was excellent if you like a little bit of bite to your foods. I really enjoyed this was one of my first attempts at making my own salad dressing since I usually just use the pre-made ones. One warning...I fed six people with the amount of salad dressing that was given...and had a huge quantity left over.
