Sweet and Sour Meatballs II

I used prepared meatballs but made the sauce pretty much as written (cut down the amounts but kept proportions the same) and really enjoyed it! I really like vinegar-y tastes but my boyfriend does not but we were both happy so I'd say the proportion of vinegar was right on. Will try a little less sugar next time maybe with some hot sauce.

Sausage and Bow-Tie Pasta Florentine

Really good and super easy. I made my own Alfredo (didn't have jarred sauce) by sauteing 3 cloves garlic in 2 tbsps butter, adding tbsps flour, and then 2 cups half and half, stirring in a bunch of parm towards the end, and black pepper to taste. Really liked the combination of creamy pasta and spinach with spicy browned sausage.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Just as everyone says, these are wonderful. I don't think it's possible to screw them up. I used half whole wheat flour/half white as that's what I had on hand. Rolled them in cinnamon sugar. Mine took a little while longer, but my oven wasn't overly hot when I put them in. Lovely, quick - I had a cookie craving and about 20 minutes later, I am enjoying them!

Shrimp Quiche

This was one of the best quiches I've ever had!!! It was light and a little fluffy (how quiche should be I think). I made no changes, except I mixed the ingredients together and then poured it into the shell. The Gruyere cheese and the shrimp were a great taste together...what a nice, light meal.

Excellent and Healthy Cornbread

I liked these (I put them in muffin tins to make little muffins)...they were just a little bit dry (I found) but had a nice taste. I would definitely make them again!

Banana Muffins II

Great muffins!!! I added chocolate chips because I love that combination, but kept a couple muffins without chocolate - they were excellent just by themselves. They seem to freeze well if you want to make a bigger batch (like I did). Wonderful.

Southwestern Caesar Salad

I took out the chicken, but I did make the salad dressing as the recipe said. It was excellent if you like a little bit of bite to your foods. I really enjoyed this was one of my first attempts at making my own salad dressing since I usually just use the pre-made ones. One warning...I fed six people with the amount of salad dressing that was given...and had a huge quantity left over.
