China Lake Barbequed Steak

I will use this to make ANY cut of steak. It is wonderful, my husband ate so much I thought he was going to turn into a cow!!!!

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Delicious! You can use the marinade to soak regular mushrooms, too, then saute or grill it all together. yummmy!

Seven Layer Dip I

add some taco seasoning to the ground beef! I made this for my 5-year old's birthday party (minus the guacamole) and it was a huge hit! All the mom's wanted the recipe!

These give truth to the saying "flat as a pancake". They have no fluff at all and very little flavor. Maybe it's because the recipe does not call for oil, as do most of the pancake recipes I have used.

Orange Pumpkin Loaf

Pineapple Cinnamon Stuffed Acorn Squash

I don't know if my squash was not big enough or what, but the spices were extremely overwhelming and it was all you could taste! I had to throw it away. Maybe with less of each of the spices it would be better. I was very disappointed.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Delicious! what a great idea putting the foil in the bottom, so the chicken doesn't get all greasy! I like to add garlic powder and cumin to my chicken. The whole family loves it!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Delicious! I followed the suggestion of cooking the chicken skinless, already cut into serving pieces. So tender and flavorful! The kids didn't eat much because the meat turns brown---they don't know what they're missing!

Mom's Best Spaghetti Sauce

This sauce is okay, but for all the time it takes to cook, jarred sauce tastes just as good for a lot less time! I have no idea what the baking soda is supposed to do, but the sauce is nothing earth-shattering in my opinion.

BLT Salad

This was a great way to sneak some veggies into my bacon-loving four-year-old! Plus she got to help me crumble the bacon, which was lots of fun. One note---make sure all the salad gets eaten the same day, because the leftovers are all soggy and not very good.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

I thought this recipie was delicious, and my 4 and 2 year olds did too. We had it with spaghetti noodles. My husband, Mr. Finicky, said it was, "all right." He'll just have to eat some more before deciding how great it is :-) Very quick and very good!!
