Sweet 'n' Hot Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
This was amazing! I made it two nights in a row because the family requested it. The key (for us) was making sure the fish was broiled enough to cause the sugar to harden...the crust was enough to make you wanna overeat for days.

Garlic Aioli

Yum! Make sure you let it sit in the fridge for a while. Also, stir it a few times while it's in there.

Calamari

I made this just as directed, but it was far too bland for my family. I suppose being accustomed to Cajun spices has ruined my family for good ol' food...they want, no they require, more spice. Great for those not interested in heavy spice, though.

Clark's Quiche

So far, I have made this three times in two weeks. It is delicious. YOU HAVE TO COOK THE CRUST FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE FILLING IT. That's how you keep the crust from sogging. It's fun to play around with meats and veggies to add, but man, the original is excellent as is.

French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
I made this tonight because we here in Texas were experiencing another 'severe cold-weather storm,' so it seemed the best recipe for such shocking cold (to us Southerners). With a family of 7 to feed, I doubled the recipe and as it cooked I went about my routine of unwinding. When it was done, I told the husband and 5 teenagers to grab a bowl and I would be in shortly. HUGE mistake. When I made it to the kitchen, approximately 12 minutes later, my 20 year-old was on his second bowl and hubby was on the way to his. I had one bowl. ONE BOWL. It was superb, but not nearly enough for my disrespectful family; next time I will triple it. The only thing I did differently than what the recipe called for was add herbs de province. Delicious and warming and most definitely a keeper. Every one of the family members raved, which is a rare thing. :)

Excellent. Followed the directions exactly, but did reserve some juice to prevent drying out. Great flavor and so quick and simple! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Crazy Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
This was fantastic! I followed the directions exactly and what I ended up with will make you slap yo' mama. I made a vanilla butter cream frosting to go with it and tried very hard to wait for my kids to get home from school before trying it, but to no avail. I caved when it was still piping hot. Buttercream frosting: 1/3 cup margarine, 2 tsp real vanilla extract, 2.5 C powdered sugar, 2 tb sweetened condensed milk. Beat the margarine (yes margarine, not butter) and sugar til creamy, add the rest and beat for a min. YUM. Thanks for this recipe. It's a keeper.
