Wake-Up Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I substituted Canadian Bacon for the ham in this recipe and it worked great. My family raved about this recipe and several of my kids asked in advance if they could have it for breakfast on their birthdays!

Morning Glory Muffins II

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
These are the best morning glory muffins I've ever had! Like some of the others here I modified slightly...I substituted a combination of craisins and dried cherries for the dates, I squeezed all the water our of the grated apple and I used slightly less sugar than called for. My family LOVED them and we will most definitely make them again.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2005
Like some others, I did find the dough a little goopy, but I added a bit more flour at a time and kneaded it the whole 8 minutes advised and it was smooth and supple by then. I did add about 1 Cup more of flour in the kneading process. I used all the brown sugar the recipe called for but there was SO much filling it ran out the sides so next time I will use less. I included chopped pecans in with my brown sugar...not listed on the ingredients list but nuts are mentioned in one step. I highly recommend the pecans! Next time I will try a different frosting; this one was good but just shy of what I wanted. Overall a big hit with my whole fmaily!

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
Best banana pancakes I've ever had. I tripled the recipe and cooked these "live time" for people at work and they were a BIG hit. A sprinkle of powdered sugar on the top makes them pretty and tastes good too.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
I read lots of reviews for this recipe before making it for the first time and used some of the advice. I reduced the baking powder and salt by 1/2 teaspoon each, I sifted the dry ingredients twice, tempered the warm melted butter with the cold milk and egg before adding to the dry ingredients, and whisked until mostly smooth. I also added a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. My four kids LOVED these pancakes and insisted I make another batch right away (so next time I'll double the recipe). They added chocolate chips to most of the pancakes while cooking but liked them both ways.
