Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
This is outstanding! The sauce created from the brown sugar and ketchup is wonderful. I didn't have a loaf pan so I just used a square one and upped the brown sugar so I could cover the bottom of it sufficiently. Everyone loved it and my four year old niece, who is not a a big eater, ate a full portion of it.

Cherry Dessert

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
This is delicious and super simple. The cherries cut the sweetness with a tart note. This was a total winner. To save time I used a premade graham cracker pie crust.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
This is as simple and tasty as it gets. Outstanding as written, I might play with using a little less oil and I used light miracle whip...but only to try to skim some fat. The taste is right on.

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
The first thing that comes to mind is YUM! I made this for a new mom at our church along with a side of lemon pepper peas. I made a little extra macaroni, but kept the sauce proportions the same and it was just fine. I used less bread crumbs per the other comments I read and during the last five minutes put a few very thin pats of butter any crust areas that seemed dry. I used skim milk, but regular cream cheese. I really wish I had made a double portion for my house, but will be making it again next week for my husband and kids.

Lemon Pepper Peas

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
These were simple, tasty and light. I think using frozen peas keeps them from being mushy. I added a few grinds of sea salt and a little extra lemon pepper.

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Excellent recipe, we loved the addition of green pepper. I also tried this with half the diced tomatoes and half the kidney beans to make a meatier chili. Both ways were great.

Hot Jezebel

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
I brought this to a Thanksgiving dinner and the out of town guests (all from Louisiana) scooped this up in no time. As a matter of fact, I received a call yesterday asking me for the recipe. This is a definite keeper. I love making unusual things to bring, so this was perfect.
