Ropa Vieja in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2014
It was aiiiigght. It was tasty, but I thought it was very greasy and fatty. I used beef chuck as of the recipe called for, and I thought that made it very greasy. I don't know if I would have used a better cut of meat if it would been less greasy...? Like I said, it was tasty, but I just felt very guilty eating it.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2014
This was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazingggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!! Only thing I did differently was put the cut up chicken in a plastic bag and mixed the seasoning with a little olive oil and the seasonings and about 5 cloves of garlic(I love garlic) and let that marinate over night. I didn't use any butter. Then I threw the rest in a few minutes before serving. Great over egg noodles.

next time I will deff add more almond extract, I could barely taste any. also I used canola instead of olive oil because that's what I had(also would think it would make me sense) I added more cranberries(craisins) and less pistacios. really good tho!!!!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
REALLY GOOD AND NOT A LOT OF WORK!!! I made a batch last week when me my husband and son were all sick at once. It was so good they wanted me to make it again! This week, I used chicken reduced sodium chicken broth in place of the bullion. Last week I used Better Than Bullion. I couldn't tell the difference between the two batches. This was was a big hit!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2014
i picked this recipe at random. I never had jambalya before, didn't think I was going to like it, boy was I wrong!!!! It was soooo yummy!! I didn't put as much Cayenne pepper in because my hubby doesn't like it too spicy. It was still spicy tho, glad I didn't put the whole amount in! I will make again one day!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
I have to agree with Owen when he says " trust this recipe". After reading all the negative comments, I, too, was reluctant to put a whole jar/juices of the pepperoncinis in. I thought it was going to be too spicy(for my husband who doesn't like spice), and too salty. WELL. His review was the only one I ;istened too, and THANK GOD I did! It was amazing!! My hubs absolutely LOVED it and actually told me to save this recipe. (of course I acted like it took all day to cook too;-) ) I will be making again tonight, and my mouth is watering already thinking about it. Tonight I will be trying it with the Zesty salax dressing mix. Hope it turn out just as good!!

Quick Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
surprisingly very good! my husband really loved it, and it seemed like it was way more work then it was. I let the chicken cook in the sauce for about 30 min, and it was actually still juicy! Maybe it was because of the flour dredging?? I added some sauted oinions and fresh mushrooms along with some garlic powder(that goes in everything tho). Quick. Easy. Will surely be making again!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
These were soooo good!!! Everybody raved over them!! I added to the mix dried blueberries I had laying around along with some flaked coconut and some chopped walnuts. I also used 2tbs of vanilla extract instead of just one, and I used 1/4 cup honey and 1/4 corn syrup as I had never used corn syrup before, and it just looked gross, lol. These were not crumbly at all for me. The secret to that is this: after I put the granola in the pan, I sprayed both hands with Pam and then pushed it into the pan. I really packed it down nice and tight. THEN, I put it into the refrigerator for an hr, before I attempted to cut squares out of them, then I wrapped them in plastic wrap, and left out at room temp. PERFECT!! And the were alllll gone in a matter of a couple days! I am making again today, and I cant wait!!!(either can my hubby. He likes to bring them in to his friends at work:-)

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2014
Very good pie! I would have gave it 5 stars if I had made it with a gram cracker crust. I don't know what size pie shells everyone is using who say the filling was waaay too much. I followed the directions and I had just the perfect amount of filling. Will deff make again!
