Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
Very good. I cheated a little. Had some leftover grilled sirloin steak. Sliced that up and shortened the cook time. No green onion so used sweet onion instead. Otherwise followed the basic instructions. Turned out well. Hubby had seconds, so I gave it a 5!

This is very good. Left out the olives as my family does not like them. Added 3 green onions and appx. 1 cup fresh pico de gallo, drained. Very good with tortilla chips and wheat thins.

This is excellent. I also used half shrimp and half crawfish. Otherwise stayed true to the recipe.

Artichoke Chicken

Excellent flavor-hit with the entire family, and so easy! Did not change a thing. Used Hellman's mayo and Kraft parmesan out of the green box.

Very good. Followed recipe except substituted one stick of butter with "New Balance". Served with saffron rice and a side sald. Easy and tasty!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Used 4 large frozen breasts and Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce - turned out great. Served over baked potatoes with butter and cheese. Wonderful. This recipe is a keeper.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Followed the recipe to the letter and it was excellent. Pork roast is often dry -this was mosit and juicy. My 16 year old son who is usually not too fond of roast indicated that I need to make this dish more often. We are havng leftovers tonight, but thickened the juice with a little cornstarch to make more of a gravy to serve over rice.

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
This was excellent. I used a jar of Old English cheese and the pre-cooked real bacon bits. Next time I will leave out the canned mushrooms though, as a personal preference.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I forgot to put this in the crockpot before I left for work, so did it on top of the stove. Cooked fresh chicken tenders in chicken broth til done. Then added the soups and other ingredients. I used finely chopped scallions for the onion, added a little pultry seasoning, celery salt, white pepper and some parsely. Rolled the biscuits out and cut into smaller pieces. Cooked about 30 minutes more, but the dumplings where still a little "doughy". Cooked another 30 minutes and the next night it was perfect. A winner I will keep and use again!

Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
This was easy to put together, but seemed to lack "creaminess". I took it to work and everyone declared it "good".

Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
It was difficult to get the cranberries to "smooth". After all that work, my family did not care for it. Store bought vinegarette is better.

Cajun Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
Very good variation for lasagna. Based on prior reviews, I prepared my own Alfredo Sauce (Quick and Easy) from this site and increased the veggies. Also had some leftover ham and shrimp in the fridge, and added those as well., Very rich and tasty!

Portuguese Pork with Red Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
My family loved this - husband and teenage son. Used coarse ground black pepper (cut back on quantity a bit), combo of red and green pepper, added some red onion and did not have fresh lemon on hand, so used Minute Maid lemon juice you get in the freezer case. I think some sliced fresh mushrooms would be good with this too! Served over rice. Will make this again.
