Making Tamales. The men mix the masa and who ever has the stamina or desire to get the tamales folded and cooked stays up all night. Sadly alone and in tears.
Last year my oldest sister asked where are all the old ladies from our families who usually make the tamales? And my little sister had to tell her that's us now.
