Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Fast and easy! The dough takes color well. I made them green for St. Paddy's Day. It could use a bit of tang, maybe lemon zest? Thanks for the recipe!

Fig and Olive Tapenade

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
This is an unusual but fabulous appetizer! And the fact that you can make it ahead makes it perfect for a party. I mixed cream cheese and goat cheese together for a smooth but tangy spread. Make your own crostini and you have a winning appetizer. Thanks!

Lazy Dazy Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Made this cake minus the topping to use in a trifle. I added a teaspoonful of almond extract. I was very impressed by how much flavor the cake had. It can certainly stand alone as a snack cake. Next time, I will butter and flour the pan. It took 30 minutes in a 9x13 pan. Thank you!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Delicious cake, but very, very cloying. Serve with some raspberry coulis or, at the very least, whipped cream. A little of this goes a long way!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Fabulous! My cooking time was 50 minutes. Also, there no way this will serve 8 people. Our family of four devoured nearly the whole thing! Thanks for a great meal!

Terrific dish! Served with Carrot Rice recipe from this site. It could have been spicier, but that's just our taste. I'll be making this dish again, thanks!

Snicky Snackies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Very good! I added a bit more of the goodies to account for there being a lot of the caramel coating. Here's what I did regarding the sticking issue: I lined 2 baking sheets with parchment and sprayed them with Pam. Once baked, I spread the snacks out on fresh parchment again sprayed with Pam. There was no sticking issue at all. One last thing, I drizzled the mixture with melted chocolate while it was cooling. It added another layer of flavor while making it look very pretty. I only used semi-sweet but adding white chocolate would make it even prettier (we just don't like it.) Oh yes, and clean up was a snap since the pan was lined! Thanks for the recipe!

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Fantastic! And so quick to throw together! I did add a teaspoon of orange zest and kept out a bit of the sugar to sprinkle on top before baking. Mega bang for the buck! Thanks!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Delicious and simple to make! I did the half and half thing with the sugar, but otherwise made as written. I love the taste of yams so next time I may roast it in the oven instead. Thanks!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Nice simple marinade for a weekday dinner. I baked it (20 mins at 400)instead of grilling but next time I'll definitely do that to intensify the flavor. Thanks!

Mexican Style Shredded Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Excellent recipe! I use a generous amount of Chicken Taco seasoning from Penzey's to season the meat. I served this on top of rice and garnished with the Tomato, Corn and Avocado Salsa ( http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Tomato-Corn-and-Avocado-Salsa/Detail.aspx ) from this site. It was fabulous! Thanks!

Tomato, Corn and Avocado Salsa

YUM!!! Left out olives but it was great without them. Make sure to give it a generous squeeze of lime juice. That's what gives this the brightness of flavor. Served this atop Mexican Style Shredded Pork (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mexican-Style-Shredded-Pork/Detail.aspx ) from this site. It absolutely made the dish! Thanks!

Hawaiian Spareribs

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
I didn't really care for these but my family and guests did. I was expecting more of a barbecue-y taste but it was more like a sweet and sour sauce. Also the crushed pineapple made it visually unappealing. I think I will just try it with the juice if I make them again.

Sunshine Chicken

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
I made this as written the first time. While we enjoyed it a lot, the sauce didn't seem to have much depth. So this time, I added fresh chopped garlic and ginger, and a couple tablespoons of Hoisin sauce. It was perfect that way. Also sprinkling on sesame seeds and chopped green onion after it's done really makes a nice presentation. Thanks!

Old Fashioned Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This is a really easy, delicious cake! I did add a teaspoon of cinnamon for a "Mexican chocolate" flair and for presentation's sake, I made a glaze of 1 cup powdered sugar, 3 tbl milk, and 1 tsp vanilla and drizzled it over the top. I will definitely be making this again and again, thanks!

These were a hit! A delicious and easy recipe for sure. I have two small suggestions: trim the fat from the bacon and line the pan with foil. Thanks for a great Super Bowl treat!

Colorful Chicken Casserole

What a tasty, healthy, easy recipe! As another reviewer said, it makes a good formula for your own tastes. Next time, I will replace the celery and corn with spinach and sun-dried tomatos for a more Italian twist. Thank you for posting this one, it's a keeper!
