Awesome Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I used this recipe as a base, that's why I'm giving it only 3 stars. I've been making our rendition for about 5 years. The balsamic and olive oil has to be to your taste.... so start with less. I prefer the white balsamic but my husband says regular is better.... with the regular it tends to make the whole salad look brown and some people may not want to try it. Chopped fresh basil really makes it, again to your taste. Salt and pepper and grape tomatoes; I can't imagane using anything but grape toms cut in half. We sometimes put a small can of chopped olives in too. I make a double batch and it's always better the next day but you'll need to add more olive oil to make it moist again. OH!!! and finely chopped garlic :) I eyball it, but lets say about a tbls to start in an 8 serving recipe. It is yummy and my 18 year old daughters favorite for years...... requested it at her graduation party :) It was a hit! You have to make it your own.

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
Don't know if I should have given this recipe 4 stars because a few changes were made. Based on suggestions from other reviews...add onion, mushrooms, bean sprouts & beef broth instead of plain water. It turned out really good! We had it over rice and it would probably be even better over ramen noodles...thanks for the recipe, we'll make again.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2005
My results didn't turn out as well as others. It was good but I wouldn't call it a curry. We added fish sauce, red pepper, mushrooms, 'lots o' curry powder, and fresh basil...still was too tomato-ee. I think if I try it again I will leave out the tomato sauce. We love Thai food though, so I was hoping for an authentic type dish. If you're looking for a curry, we suggest the curry paste in the ethnic isle of the store. But again this was

Cheesy Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2005
This recipe was o.k. I like all the ingredients and the end result was not bad, but our family seemed to like just regular acorn squash with butter and salt.

Awesome Korean Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2005
This was really good! Someone had mentioned the steak cut that the recipe called for was pretty fatty so we used Flank Steak instead. It was a great marinade and we'll have it on a regular rotation!

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Really easy, good recipe for pork chops. I also ground my stuffing in a blender..but other than that I followed the recipe. They really turned out moist and I will use in my rotation!
