My name is Pam and I'm married with 2 kids. I have a 17 year old son with cerebral palsy and an 11 year old daughter. I teach dance and cook any time I can. When it's "experiment night", my family always groans, but 9 times out of 10, it's pretty edible. lol
My favorite things to cook
I'm the casserole queen, but love to bake and try different dishes that I see on the Food Network. I love to cook mexican and italian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a mexican family except that my mother never cooked, so I learned some things from my Grandma. We always make homemade tamales for Christmas (we have tamale day about a week before Christmas) and on Christmas day we finish with rice, beans, and whatever else we come up with.
My cooking triumphs
My desserts are always a hit. I experiment with cookies and pies and my daughter is now in the kitchen with me coming up with new ideas.
My cooking tragedies
Oh gosh, there may be too many to mention. lol When I first started learning to crock pot, I didn't know that you shouldn't add pasta, so I threw together a stroganoff, noodles included, and when it was done, it was pretty much glue. :)
