Baked Pear

Very good, but I did change it a little. I forgot to put the honey on there (will definitely do that next time), but added cinnamon, ground vanilla, and brown sugar. I also just cut them in half and put a pat of butter in the hole of each pear. Served with homemade vanilla bean whipped cream! Delish!

Spicy Sausage Quiche

Delicious!! I didn't have a jalepeno or a can of green chili peppers on hand so I used some Mexican style ROTEL instead. It made it colorful and was perfectly spicy, and the quiche was delicious! I had 3 coworkers from my department ask me for the recipe. Very easy recipe as well. Will definitely make it again.

Baked Pears

These weren't bad, but were a little firmer than I expected, and not as hot as I thought they'd be. I served them with icecream, and I wanted them steaming hot so they'd be good with the icecream. Next time I'll bake them longer than the recommended time in the recipe.

We enjoyed this, but I think it could use a little less cheese and a little more ham (or sausage). Also, I used sourdough bread, which worked great as well.

Baked Potato Soup

While we thought this was fantastic, it was not really 'baked potato' soup like chives, sour cream, bacon, cheese type baked potato. It was just a potato soup with a great twist to me, we loved it!

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Great recipe!! The only thing I do differently is I fry the bacon in the pot first, THEN add the onion to the grease after I remove the bacon. (If I fry the onion and bacon together, the onion starts to burn before the bacon is cooked.)

Fresh Fig Cake

very good! Would make a great breakfast cake too. Added a little cinnamon to the sauce. Also next time I think I"ll add more figs than it calls for in the cake itself as one reviewer did and said the flavors just popped out!

Eggnog Cheesecake III

Ok I am giving it 5 stars because it tastes fabulous and the texture is great. However, I had problems with it cracking! I wanted to make this and freeze it since we'll be out of town and then will have relatives in when we get back. So I made it Tues night, and it was all cracked when it came out of the oven. I was worried it wouldn't freeze well like that so i went ahead and dug into it and brought some to work. I figured I beat the eggs in too long. So, the next day, I tried it again, being more careful with the eggs. It cracked just a little around the edges in the oven (and I took it out 14 minutes early!!) but as it cooled, it cracked all over the cheesecake again!!! I am going to go ahead and freeze it though. It won't be a very pretty cheesecake but it sure does taste good. Anyone know what I am doing wrong, and why it keeps cracking on me? I've made other cheesecakes and they did not crack.

Spicy Turkey Chili

This was great!! But where do you find cubed turkey?? I ended up using canned cubed chicken because that was all I could find, in 3 different grocery stores. And I don't live in a small town. I could have browned the ground turkey like many of you, but I like the chunkier texture the cubed meat provides. Flavor was great!!
