About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ukrainian , Polish . I'd like to learn how to make Steak and Kidney Suet.
My cooking triumphs
roasters of stuffed cabbage and dozens of perogies . Making no salt added , low sugar foods taste good enough to eat . The best meatloaf !
My cooking tragedies
plenty. I have no sense of smell and swiss cheesed memory. I tend to forget I'm cooking if I'm distracted !

Mock Chicken Fried Steak
no matter how you slice it ? it's breaded meatloaf. It just doesn't have the same taste and texture as real chicken fried steak. It reminded me of when I'm out of coffee and have to resort to tea. no matter how strong I make it it just isnt' coffee.

Detroit-Style Coney Dogs
I'm from Detroit and I've thought this is how most people eat a Coney ! Of course the best 'chili' for them is the bulk 'dehydrated' chili you can get from Sherwood Foods. and lots of diced onion and good mustard like Plochmans . one can also put on some saurkraut ( if your from the Hamtramck area ! )
