Banana Banana Bread
This is by far the best banana bread recipe I have ever tried. I tweeked it a bit, by adding 1 tsp of vanilla, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 3/4 cup walnuts and I took another reviewers suggestion and brushed the batter with a brown sugar glaze (1 tbsp water, 3 tbsp brown sugar, mixed). I used my potato ricer to mash the bananas, propably not necessary but it was fun :-)
Tip: Add the walnuts to the flour mixture before you fold in the wet mixture. The flour keeps the walnuts from sinking to the bottom of the batter.
I used my mini loaf pan, baked it for 350 for ~40 minutes. The entire family agreed it was delicious (hubby is a chef so his approval doesn't come easily). I will be tossing out all my other BB receipes..this is a true keeper!
