Secret Ingredient Pico de Gallo

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
pretty good. we love pico de gallo and make it often. we love the "secret ingredient", it adds just the right amount of crispy, saltiness. we use red onion, Roma tomatoes, and add a tablespoon of minced garlic.

Fully Loaded Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
I enjoyed this dish. It's not exactly low calorie, but it is a great alternative to typical potato salad. The 2 dashes of Frank's Red Hot sauce added a great depth of flavor. I did not have fresh chives on hand but will add those next time as I think they would add even more flavor. I will definitely make this again and plan on bringing it to a potluck soon. Thanks for the recipe.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
I made this for an appetizer again tonight and this is one of my all-time favorite allrecipes. The sun-dried tomatoes add for a sweet taste that other bruschetta's are missing. I drizzled some reduced balsamic on the serving platter to make them extra pretty. Thanks!

Slow Cooked Teriyaki Venison

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
The gravy is very good. Pineapple juice is equally as good as apple juice in the recipe. My meat had fully cooked after three hours, so watch the time. I needed to heat my gravy in the microwave on high for 10 minutes and whisk it in order to thicken it properly. I will make this again.

Baked Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
Very good. I used shredded cabbage instead of carrots as that's what I had on hand. I cooked them on top of a cooling rack on a pan and turned them half way through cooking. These can also be frozen for serving later.

Great way to use round steak! I used chili beans instead of black beans and served the mixture over rice. My family liked this recipe. Thanks!

Sushi Roll

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
This recipe is good. It was my first attempt at a roll, and it's surprisingly easy. Bringing the combination of the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, to a boil and allowing it to cool makes for better consistancy. I used more rice than the recipe called for. And, it's important to note the rice should be fanned down to body temperature before applying it to the nori. I did not include ginger in mine as that is traditionally used as a palatte cleanser after eating the sushi. Very good.

The Juiciest Hamburgers Ever

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
The burgers are very good but they tend to fall apart on the grill. Rather than marinade them in the juice mixture, I added 1/4 cup of it to the beef and added a slightly beaten egg and some bread crumbs to keep them together on the grill.

My husband loved this salad. As other reviewers suggested, I added the salad dressing to taste. I also added an extra can of artichokes. This is a great recipe for a summer potluck.

Delicious salad. I did not have walnut oil and substituted it with olive oil. Still very good. I could eat this salad every day and never get sick of it.

Easy Teriyaki Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
I used this on boneless chops and enjoyed the flavor. I did find the marinade a bit salty so I added 6oz. pineapple juice to dillute the salt a bit. The flavor was good and this is a super easy marinade to whip up.

Loved this recipe! The oats helped the ground elk meat I used hold together on the grill. The recipe can be used for BBQ meatballs as well.
