About this Cook
Every since my son was born this past April I seem to be kicking butt in the kitchen. I have been doing much of my cooking from scratch. Making my own pizza dough, baking my own bread and using ALL veggies and herbs from my garden. I also have taken on making my own pickles and jams. It is so exciting that I am finally getting really comfortable in the kitchen!!
My favorite things to cook
One of my favorite things to make in the: Summer: Fresh Garden Salsa, Grilled Kabobs, Bob Barker's Pasta Salad, Veggie Dip Fall: Thanksgiving Dinner & Chilli Winter: Soups of all kinds, Homemade Spicy Apple Cider, Meatloaf w/ Mashed Potatoes Spring: Spicy Mustard Maple Syrup Salmon, Light Cakes I always love to make pizza and bread.
My cooking tragedies
One Valentine's Day I tried to bake a heart chocolate cake for a party my husband and I were attending. Well ~ let's just say it was sooo bad we ended up stopping at the grocery store and purchasing Hersey chocolate bars instead. Everyone thought they were such a great idea!

Banana Crumb Muffins
These were perfect! The top of the muffins were crunchy and the inside was nice and moist. These are the only muffins I have made I could make every week. My husband and son loved these as well as the rest of my family. Great use of browning bananas! Yummy!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
This bread turned out great! The bread was moist and flavorful, and it made my house smell wonderful. I love serving this bread warm with butter and a big glass of milk.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies
These were awesome! My husband and son loved these. I have added them to my annual Christmas baking list. They stayed soft and chewy for days. These cookies turned out so good, I have gave them to my neighbors and family as small thank you gifts! Everybody loved them!
