Authentic Cincinnati Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Super tasty. My husband and I love this recipe. I didn't have allspice berries, so I added 1 teaspoon of ground allspice and I also didn't have whole cloves, so I used 1 teaspoon of ground cloves. It was amazing!!!

Angie's Chocolate Martini

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Glad I read the reviews first. Not sure why the site would change the recipe. I put a shot of vodka, a shot of creme de cacoa, and a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream (did not have creamer). It turned out pretty good.

Best Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
This is a good basic recipe. Like other reviewers, I add 1 cup of shredded cheese to the mixture, a 1/2 can of chopped water chestnuts, about a tablespoon of soy sauce, and half of the FF onions to the mix. EXCELLENT!!

Emily's Chipotle Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I can't give this a 5 star b/c I didn't make it exactly as written. I left out the sausage completely and just used ground beef. Also, we doubled the amount of chipotle peppers, could have possibly even tripled it for our tastes. It was too thick, so I added a can of beef broth. This turned out to be an AWESOME chili recipe. I will use this from now on. I might even try substituting chicken for the beef.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This is a great recipe but I had to only give it a 4-star because I had to add a lot of spice to it. It's kind of a basic recipe. I also socked the seasoning to the meat/onion while it was browning -- salt & pepper, a lot of garlic, oregano and basil and a heavy dose of both red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper. Also sprinkled some of all those things over the cabbage I'd chopped.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Five star with this modification. I used butter instead of oil. I also added FRESH chopped garlic in at the last minute after frying the asparagus. Excellent!!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
Made exactly as the recipe says and it turned out great! This recipe is very similar, if not the exact same, to the one on the back of Knorr's Vegetable Soup mix...

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
This is the best guacamole I've ever had. Beats any restaurant's!! I only made one change and that was I used a teaspoon of garlic powder instead of minced garlic. It turned out great! My boyfriend, who doesn't like guacamole, ate this up like CRAZY!!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This recipe is GREAT! Made it for dinner guests and they commented that it reminded them of Olive Garden's salad dressing. I made exactly according to recipe except used onion salt instead of powder becauase that's all I had. Still was EXCELLENT!!

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
I can only give this recipe a 4-Star due to the fact that I had to make some minor adjustments. I used 1 can of Cream of Chicken and one can of Cream of Celery and two cans of Chicken Broth. I cooked my chicken ahead of time and shredded the chicken. I used Bisquick recipe for dumplings which were excellent!! I think 1 Tsp of Celery Seed is way too overpowering in this recipe. Next time I'm not even sure I'll use it, or if I do, it will only be a few dashes. With those changes, this was an awesome dish and one that I will make again!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
Simply tasty! I am not big on sausage, so I halfed the sausage. I also substituted cottage cheese instead of Ricotta cheese, cuz I hate Ricotta. Other than that, that's all I did to modify the recipe and absolutely LOVE IT!

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
Amazing!! At first the amount of onions that we cut up looked to be too many, but after they cooked down it was just perfect! We used dental floss to twine the herbs together for those of you who are wondering what to use...
