Beef Tips

This was DELICIOUS! Our lone small town supermarket is notorious for lousy cuts of meat, but this made even their meat tender! I don't add any extra salt as the soy and Worcestershire sauces have enough salt in them. I also only add about 1/4 tsp of garlic powder. To make the gravy thicker, I only add 1/2 cup of water, and I usually mix up 2 tbsp of corn starch with 1 tbsp of water and add it to the gravy mixture. I make mashed potatoes with this and my husband can't get enough!!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

I, like others, used a 3lb pork butt roast instead of ribs. Cooked it in the crockpot with the beef broth on high for 4 hours. Then I turned it down to low for 2 more hours. So tender I had to remove it from the crockpot with a slotted spoon! I pulled it apart, emptied the broth from the crockpot. Then I decided to play with my cheap honey bbq sauce. I added about 1/4-1/2 cup of cider vinegar to it, to make it taste more like my husband's native North Carolina bbq sauce. HUGE hit!!! Hubby and son ate til they were sick, lol! Will definitely make again!!

My Mom's Parmesan Chicken

My very picky son and husband LOVED this, not to mention me, lol. I followed the recipe, with the exception of the wine. I used spaghetti sauce instead. Paired it with whole wheat spaghetti noodles and romaine salad. Fantastic!

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

This is SO good. If you want it really creamy, you can add a can of cream of mushroom soup. I just think it makes it too soupy. Try it, you'll like it!

Delicious Cinnamon Baked Apples

Delicious! It really needs a lot more liquid, though. I took one of the other changes someone else made to heart, and added apple juice instead of water, but I added about a cup. And since I didn't have vanilla sugar, I added a tsp of vanilla to the apple juice. It turned out great! Next time, I may cut back a bit on the cinnamon, it was a tad bit overwhelming. Still added it to my recipe box!!

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

I loved it! I made 3 cups of rice, and 2 1/2 cups of water, 1 each of the soups, and I used whole chicken instead of chunk. But, I had to fry the chicken to get it done, had to cook the rice uncovered, and had to double the cook time. But in the end, the taste was fabulous, hence, the four stars.

Savory Chicken Breasts

This was delicious! I seasoned with seasoned salt, pepper, onion powder, and just a touch of garlic powder. Also, since I was making twice as many breasts (I have a husband AND a 14-yr old boy!), I used two cans of soup, one cream of chicken, and one cream of mushroom. Excellent! Will definitely make again!

Cream of Mushroom Chicken

It tastes pretty good, but it is way too thin. I would recommend using about 1/2 the water the recipe calls for. Also, I let it simmer for about thirty minutes, just to ensure the chicken is completely done. Very good over egg noodles.
