Nina's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2014
Sounded like a nice change to cucumber salad to try sour cream. However, that is all we could taste....was sour cream.

Polka Dots

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
I made these with one box of Devils Food Cake mix. Baked for 10 minutes. Kids and husband loved them! VERY easy to make! Make sure to let them cool for a while before removing from baking rack. I put the cooling rack with cookies in the fridge for a few minutes, so they wouldn't have to wait so long to eat them. They were GREAT with a cold glass of milk! What a great way to make cookies when you are short on time and ingredients.

Used 3/4 cup butter in place of shortening. Boiled 1 1/2 minutes. Used 2/3 cup of coconut. Used old fashioned oats. Great recipe! They turned out great! Very quick to make!! This is an 'ol family favorite, so will be nice to have this recipe on hand! thank you!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I did not change one thing about this recipe and am glad I didn't because it was perfect just as written!! I actually doubled the recipe and made one large loaf and two smaller ones (just cooked the smaller loaves about 20 minutes less). My kids and husband all loved it. I saved this recipe in my recipe box because this is a recipe that I know I'll be making over and over. This is an absolutely delicious banana bread that would be great for bake sales, holidays and etc. Again, you may want to double the recipe, as it'll disappear fast...right out of the oven! This recipe deserves every single one of those five stars! Thanks so much!

Bachelor Buttons II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
My 5 1/2-year old daughter and I made these cookies and it was a perfect recipe to make with her. We used butter-flavored shortening. We baked them for 5 minutes on the top rack and about 5 to 5 1/2 minutes on the bottom rack (so, about 11 minutes at the most). We sat and watched them cool because we could not wait to try them. When we did try them, we both said, "mmmm" at the same time. They are delicious and melt in your mouth. Will definitely be keeping this recipe and make it over and over again!! Thanks for the great cookie recipe!!

Chocolate Pecan Delite

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2005
This dessert tasted like gourmet to me! I did follow other's suggestions and layered the cream cheese mixture separate, but will not do that again. I found that more time consuming, you could not see the separate layer and it'd taste the same mixed together anyway. I like to keep things easiest I guess. Overall, this is a great tasting dessert. I thought it'd just taste like chocolate pudding when I was making it, but the pecans and other things give it a surprisingly gourmet flavor. Would highly recommend this!!
