About this Cook
I am married and have 3 children. They come before anything else. I love to cook new things. I am always looking for new and interesting recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Thai food is my favorite right now. I also love to grill year round and slow cook in the winter.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was growing up my mom always made our meals from scratch. No pre made or packaged things. So I try and do the same with my family.
My cooking triumphs
I can look at a recipe and the ingrediants and know by what I see if it will be good. Most new meals I try are very good.
My cooking tragedies
I am not good at measuring. I do a little of this and a little of that; therefore, I am not to good at baking.

Schmag Salad
Delicious! This is refreshing and a great combination of fruit. A change from the ordinary fruit salad. I didn't have the cilantro nor the jicama so I omitted those. I didn't have orange extract so I just juiced half of an orange and poured that in. We will make this often.

Butter Honey Wheat Bread
Would not make this again. It was sunken on the top, it was hard, dry and not very flavorful. I have made MANY bread machine breads and I think this was one of the worst.

Soy Milk Pancakes
These were wonderful. They were light and airy. The flavor was perfect and when you left the table you didn't feel heavy and loaded down like after eating most pancakes. I did use Almond Milk instead of Soy and my whole family LOVED them. I double the recipe to feed 5 because it said the serving size was for 2 but wouldn't have had to. We had leftovers. Will make these all the time.
