REALLY Real Strawberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2014
These were great! I used frozen strawberries instead of freeze dried and they were excellent. I also added a thin layer of vanilla icing on top, and it added that little something to the cake. Will make again.

Berry Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2014
I overcooked it a little, making it a bit cakier than I would have liked. However, the tart raspberries with the sweet cake made this delightful! Very good- will do again.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
BEAUTIFUL cookie recipe. Absolutely awesome. Keep in mind: Check your cookies before bringing them out because my oven took twice as long to cook (about 18 minutes) the cookies. We also used 1/3 cup of butter and 2/3 cup of shortening as we were almost out of shortening, and it turned out beautiful. My favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies on this site so far. Will be doing again.

Water Chestnuts Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
I rolled the chestnuts in brown sugar before cooking, as mentioned by many others. The finished appetizer was pretty good, nothing really special, but definitely delicious. I will add some different spices next time to add flavor. Lovely recipe.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
This recipe was delicious, but very, very sweet. Next time I will cut the sugar. Also, after refrigerating, it was very clumpy, so I put it back in the mixer for a few seconds to smooth it out-made a huge difference. I rolled my truffles in a mixture of coffee and cocoa-the bitterness with the sweetness was very good.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
This recipe is amazing. Make sure you do use the right size of pan, because I used on a bit too small and my batter almost went over the edge of the pan in the oven. However, the brownies were absolutely AMAZING. This is a must-try recipe!!! I adored these, they were rich, gooey, and lovely.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
The recipe ended well, but we needed more than one baking pan, and we had WAY too many chocolate chips. Definitely cut the chocolate chips to one cup or one and a half. Also the cooking time was longer, so either cook for longer or raise the oven temperature. The cookies are very fatty... 21 percent of your daily fat per cookie!! When we tried the cookies they were great, but what would you expect from such ingredients like that! Very tasty, chewy and big. Definitely use semiseet chocolate chips, milk chocolate is too sweet. Great recipe.
