Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
This turned out very very well! So yummy. - I was working with what I had on hand, so I used a bag of fresh spinach and just chopped it up, then cooked it down in a little butter. -I omitted the bacon and just used about 3.5 cups chopped ham. -I omitted the mushrooms and added 1 chopped bell pepper (sauteed with onion). -I used premade pie crusts from the deli section and did brush them with a little egg white and baked at 375 for 5 mins to avoid soggy crusts. Great recipe!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
I've made this twice with excellent results both times! It's such a nice change from the candied yams with marshmallows (that we've done my entire life!). I did bake the sweet potatoes at 350 for about 1.5 hours and I used evaporated milk as other reviews suggested. I also doubled the topping both times and it was so good! I didn't have any issues with the top being too buttery or anything.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
These cookies really are fabulous! I followed the recipe with the only changes I read in SVROSS's review (the first one that showed up under the recipe). Those changes are to add 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and up the vanilla to 2 TBL. They really are soft and yummy!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
1st impression: It was so much to pile into a 13x9 casserole dish! I was going to follow the recipe exactly, but I simply could not fit any more cheese into it, so by the last step, I ommitted much of the cheese. I cooked down two bags of spinach (stems removed) in some olive oil, instead of frozen. That turned out well. It was really good, even with the reduced cheese at the end.

Yummy and so easy!! Peeled abd cubed a couple potatoes and boiled them for about 8 mins. Drained and added to the mix. Didn't do the mushrooms as we don't like them. Everybody loved it!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Left out the beer, bell peppers, chili pepper, and halved the chili powder. Substitued steak chunks for ground beef, but still used the Italian sausage. Turned out FABULOUS. Was the rave of the party.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
We love this one! It's a nice change from the bottled marinades and so yummy! The only thing we do different is add lots more fresh garlic in the blender...

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This was very good and hearty. I also thought it bordered on being too salty--and I'm the one that everyone hides the salt shaker from, so that's really saying something coming from me! I used 1 can cream of chicken soup and 1 can reduced sodium cream of mushroom. I also shook some garlic salt into the meat, but will not do that again next time. I will also be sure to use reduced sodium soups next time. Overall very good.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
This was great! I made it exactly as recipe states, except for using 3/4 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce. I have never liked cakes from scratch, but this turned out really well. I made it in 2 9 inch rounds and they baked for about 35 minutes. I thought it was just sweet enough. I like the frosting to taste like cream cheese and not too terribly sweet so I only used 3 cups powdered sugar and it came out PERFECT--so good!

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
This was very good and easy! As suggested in here, I used all purpose flour and added 1/2 tsp salt and 1 1/2 tsp baking powder PER cup of flour. Also, after I sprinkled the blackberries over the batter, I sprinkled about 1 Tbs of sugar over the whole thing. Oh, and I added a dash of vanilla to the milk. Very yummy--a big hit! Thanks.

Apple Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This pie turned out great and was soooo good. I used all granny smith apples and for the crust, I just bought the pillsbury roll out crust. I doubled the sugar and cinnamon, and I think that made a big difference. Next time, I will put even more sugar, not too much more, because I don't like it too terribly sweet. The top crust with the half and half and sugar was delicious, all around, 5 stars!

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
This chicken was great! I added salt and pepper to the butter, and grilled it on the barbeque. I brushed with a little more herb butter each time I flipped it, and it turned out great, soft and juicy! My husband said it tasted just like something you'd get at Olive Garden. Made me think that maybe next time I'll serve it with pasta and white alfredo sauce...

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
This was very, very good. A nice change from the creamy chicken recipes. A few tips for first timers like me: -Don't use too much rub on the chicken. I figured most of it would come off while cooking, so I used a lot, but it all stayed on! -Like a lot of the comments on here, I added another 1/2 cup water and 1/2 tsp chicken granules and 2 tblsps lemon juice to make more juice. -Next time, I will cut down on the garlic just a little. I forgot to do the parsley and after all of these changes, it was a great meal with white rice--just perfect!

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
This was great! I just used what I had, so I used a little less soy sauce and omited the dry mustard. I used dry parsley instead of fresh. I only had time to marinade the chicken for about an hour and it was still very good, my husband was very impressed.

Toll House® Mini Morsel Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
These were very good, only change was that they seemed way too thick for my liking, the first one was like an inch tall! I added probably another 1/2 c of milk to thin it down.

Fast and Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
I think they tasted good, the sweetness was fine for me. I like light syrup and that might make a difference. They were'nt very fluffy at all, I think I will try to add more flour and baking powder to change that. Otherwise, they were good.
