Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
Have made this twice. We really enjoyed it. Only rated 4 stars because the crescent rolls definitely must be pre-baked per other reviews. Did so the first time, and forgot the second time. Definitely makes a difference. Add seasoning and ingredients at your discretion

Edamame Dip (Edamole)

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
I usually follow recipes to the "t" but was in a hurry and did not have chipolte in adobo, so substituted a fresh jalepeno (minus seeds) instead. This dip was amazing! I was told to bring it to every get together from now on. It was gone in minutes.

London Broil II

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
I used 2 tbs low salt soy sauce and 1 tbsp teriyaki marinade. Still way too salty for us, must be the teriyaki sauce. Otherwise, very good. Used chuck roast steaks, pierced with fork, put in zip lock bag and added marinade. Turned out very tender. Will try again.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
Oh my goodness gracious. This was so easy and delicious! I will never buy bottled dressing again. It is a little thick, and I'm not sure how you would thin it out, but we adapt by using smaller portions. Definitely a keeper.

Root Beer Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Wish I would have read Ken's update before I made these. They were very bland even after marinating 6 hours. Will remake with ken's changes and reviw again. I agree with Werfly

Brilliant Sauteed Broccoli

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This just did not do it for us. Wanted to like it, especially with the brown sugar factor, but my kids did not care for it. On the other hand, they do like to eat assorted roasted veggies including brocolli, guess I'll continue to go that way.

Sorry for such a bad review because I really hoped this worked out. Very bland. Sorry

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
Rating on the chicken fry only, we did not care for the gravy at all. For all those who are complaining about the blandness, any fried food really needs to be seasoned after it is fried, otherwise the seasoning gets cooked out.

Shrimpcargot

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
My family of meat eating lovers, devoured these in minutes! Really really good. I bought a pound of shrimp, and did not have enough mushrooms. So I just put those on the baking sheet (always line with parchment paper) and drizzled the butter over them.

Bacon-Wrapped Peanut Butter Jalapenos

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Made these for Christmas Eve, sounds weird, but they were delicious! Who doesn't love peanut butter and bacon, and then the subtle kick of the jalapeno, yummy!

French Onion Soup V

Sorry, I really was looking forward to this because of the good reviews and the ease of preparation. However, there was very little depth to the flavor.

Parmesan Broccoli Balls

Made these for Christmas dinner. I put them on a white plate arranged in the form of a wreath. Pretty to look and and good to eat!

Juicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Doggone it, really wanted to like this one. We only use low sodium soy sauce, so based on reviews, thought that would overcome the negativity. Prepared as written, and it still was way too salty for us. Had to eat pizza instead. I feel really bad because I have never given a 1 star review, but if we couldn't eat it, then that is the rating I had to give. So sorry.

Sorry this one just didn't do it for us. It smelled really great, but tasted very bland. Will not be making it again.

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
this is the best meatloaf I have ever made. The flavors melded together very well. Never got individual taste of onions or ranch, just a great mixture of flavors. I haven't made meatloaf in years because I hadn't had a good recipe. Will be great for cold wintry nights in the future. Very easy to put together and remember the ingredients

Best Ever Brisket

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
We loved this! Our butcher did not have brisket, but recommended a bottom roast. Like other reviewers, I did not use the regular salt. Even my seven year old had seconds. Did not last long in this beef eating household.

Almond Glazed Onions

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Wow my husband and I really loved this dish. Only gave it 4 stars because the onion flavor was very strong. My kids would not touch this because of the "o" word. Never heard of this before, but will find a way to modify the onion taste in the future.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
So sorry to give this a bad review, based upon all the wonderful ones it has received. We really looked forward to trying this, but there was not much flavor and the greasiness of the butter put us off.
